We spent a month in Luigi's lovely apartment and thought it was a great place to stay in Rome. The apartment is spacious, comfortable, and sunny, with nice breezes due to its being on the top floor. We especially loved spending time on the large plant-filled terrace. The apartment is nicely furnished, with a comfortable bed and plenty of storage. There's a large bathroom with a double sink which was very convenient, and the kitchen is well-equipped with cooking utensils as well as food basics, which was great since we cooked almost all our meals. The Internet worked well and the printer was a big convenience. The neighborhood is definitely out of the tourist mainstream, with lots of local shops and an open-air market just next door, and we certainly liked being far from the tourist crowds. Although it is far from the Metro, it is conveniently served by several bus lines which go all over the city. We especially liked spending time in Trastevere, which is not very far away by bus.
The only downside was the presence of ants coming in from the terrace -- we needed to store all our food in the refrigerator.
