Welcome to Our Home! I am JD Rathore, owner of Ikaki Niwas. My family and I look after this home and the guests who come to stay with us. My father, Dr. Thakur G S Rathore, constructed this house about 40 years ago and recently it was refurbished and renovated with comfortable beds, new LCD televisions, and modern baths. Our family belongs to the royal Rajpoot community, and prior to India’s independence, our great grandfather was chieftain in the Bikaner state of Rajasthan. We are well-educated and we’ll be happy to share and discuss what we know about India over a cup of coffee or at the dinner table.
We are flexible and accommodative towards guests requests, to the extent that it does not affect other guests privacy, comfort and safety.
This is a beautiful place to stay and visit Jaipur, located in a quiet neighborhood away from honking traffic. Communication with Jaideo and his staff was great. Everybody was very helpful and courteous. They even helped me with booking a trip to Agra and arranged for pick-ups when necessary. It's easy to get to town by taking one of the omnipresent Tuk-Tuks. Rooms are great, nice mix of old and new, very clean, so nothing to complain about. Met some interesting guests on the beautiful rooftop. All in all I loved it.
FABULOUS! Best word to describe my one week stay with jaideo and his wonderful crew at iwaki newas. As a sible traveler, I was made to feel right at home, served great breakfasts (included) and optional dinners, which I had 5 out if the 7 nights there! Tucked away from the busy streets of Jaipur, this intown but country feel made for a great place to unwind. I highly recommend this place!
Had a quick stay at JD's place but enjoyed it! We got in a bit late and were able to grab dinner and a Kingfisher there. Breakfast was tasty with many options of North and South India foods, as well as European breakfast options. Room on top floor was quite spacious and Wifi was speedy.
Ikaki Niwas is something special, located very near to Airport and other tourist attraction. Everyone at the house is welcoming and kind.
I highly recommend staying at Jaideos if you are passing through Jaipur. Beautifully decorated house with local accents, good food and good company.
He and his family are wonderful hosts and will do whatever they can to make your stay a most comfortable one .
The view from the terrace is breathtaking and the calm of the property and surroundings are just what you need after a day in the city.
Jaideo and his family were extremely kind and accommodating to myself and my wife. We had missed our train coming into Jaipur and ended up not getting in until 1 am. We had help getting to his home even that late at night and upon arrival decided that it would be wise to stay a few extra nights, which was not a problem at all. We enjoyed some great dinners and even got to spend some time in the kitchen. All the rooms were as described and photographed with beautiful decor. The neighborhood is nice and quiet, but still close enough to all the major attractions that Jaipur has to offer.
We feel that we've made long term friends with Jaideo and his family, even though we're on the other side of the world, and plan on visiting India ( and their home) again very soon.

My mother and I would highly recommend Ikaki Niwas in Jaipur. Dhivika, JD's wife, and Jony, the house manager, and their staff were excellent hosts.
Ikaki Niwas offer charming, spacious and clean accommodation with delicious breakfast to your liking (Indian or continental). The house is situated next to a quaint garden and within walking distance from the beautiful Birla temple, and a short distance from the city centre.
We look forward to return to Jaipur !
