About this listing
Stay in my large spare room.
The home itself is like a cute cottage, packed with books, plants and vintage furniture.
The home is in the most exciting part of town around the corner from Weserstrasse, close to the canal and Kreuzberg.
3 room place. The home itself is like a cute cottage, packed with books, plants and vintage furniture. It's just off the main Neukolln drag round the corner from Weserstrasse, close to the canal, two minutes from the U-bahn, seconds from the bus stop and Kreuzberg and Mitte aren't much more than 15 and 25 mins by bike.
My area is a mix of galleries, new bars and cheap restaurants. My local bar is owned by Mogwai, there's an ice cream parlour on my block and a tiny park in front of my balcony. In the morning, you wake up to the chatter of birds in the trees.
Within a quick walk from my door you can eat great tapas, modern German cuisine, vegetarian Italian, Thai and not far from Berlin's largest schnitzel. It's also home to the best second hand shops and fleamarkerts in Berlin too.
It's a quiet house on a very pleasany, leafy street.
Kitchen, bathroom, studio space, living room.
Interaction with guests
It depends if I'm home or not. Sometimes very little, sometimes more. I'm a friendly guy alternating between working at home or in the city library these days.
I've got everything within five minutes of my door from pancakes to fleamarkets, cocktails to yoga studios and the best bars in Berlin.
I'm between a bus and train route, and walking distance to most places you want to go in Kreuzberg and Neukolln.
I guess, just be a good, considerate and decent person and we'll get along fabulously.
PS: if you do want to smoke, the balcony is probably the best place for that.
I'm an Irish writer and documentary maker living in Berlin about 3 years now. I travel a lot. I speak good Italian, ok Spanish and pretty decent German, most of the time.
