Interaction with Guests
I don't live on the premises, but my mother lives a few doors over if anything arises that may need immediate attention. The apartment is completely private and separate, for you to enjoy. My Mom and I can be available as needed.
Trader Joe's is a 5 minute walk away, so feel free to stock up on groceries (though not sure you'll want to in SF). The apartment has a fully functioning kitchen with updated appliances that sit in a vintage setting. It's centrally located in the heart of the city--everything is 15 minutes (drive) away (downtown, Golden Gate Park, Crissy, Ocean, Baker beaches, the Presidio, Golden Gate Bridge, shopping on Fillmore, in the Marina or Haight. It's located on a quiet and very safe "hidden" cul de sac.
Free parking for one car, a couple of doors over. Major bus lines are a 5 minute walk - 1 California, 38 Geary, 2 Clement.
Other Things to Note
Coin-operated laundry in the building, but we provide the detergent.
Well behaved pups (1) will be considered. No smoking. No parties. I do have 11am check-out and 3pm check-in, but if you need an earlier/later time, please let me know and I'll do my best to accommodate.
Lisa was super accommodating, had a list of recommendations when we entered the door, and was quickly responsive when a scheduling oversight had us accidentally underbook our stay by one night. Would definitely book from Lisa again!
Lisa's place was perfect ! My boyfriend and I came out for the weekend and we had everything we needed. Lisa followed up with us before we came and let us know everything we needed. She made it super easy and the house was ready when we got there. The house was the perfect size. The location was perfect and was close to everywhere we went. We took lyft most of the time and was pretty cheap ! We had everything we needed in the house from kitchen supplies to bathroom supplies. We will definitely be staying here again!
Lisa was a great host. She checked in with me prior to my arrival to make sure I didn't have any questions. Her house manual was very clear and thorough. Her place was clean and just as pictured, very comfortable, easy and easy to access. As others have commented the only point of awareness is that the street below is very loud, especially at night. If you are a light sleeper, this may be a problem. I would definitely stay here again.
Lisa left us a lovely surprise to celebrate my birthday. Cute place, great views, nice location. We were very comfortable. Highly recommend Lisa's cozy apartment.
Easy to access, nice views, good value. overall good experience cleaning could have been better thou
The apartment was perfect for my stay in San Francisco for work. Everything you need to feel at home away. Lisa provided detailed information on how to check in and what to expect. I was very comfortable for my stay. And the City views were awesome!
This was my husband and my first experience using Air B&B and after our stay at Lisa's place we will definitely be using it again. The description and pictures were spot on. I actually got a little worried before we arrived because I didn't understand how a ground level unit could have a view of the city, but the unit is on a hill and has spectacular views of the city and bay. It did not feel like we were on the ground level at all; so much natural light. The unit is very comfortable and definitely better than staying at a hotel, much more room to move around. The kitchen had just what we needed to cook breakfast every morning and the location of Trader Joes was very convenient to stock up on essentials. Another perk was being able to park our car off street a couple doors down. Although, even if you don't have a car, you could walk around the city from the location of the unit, especially the Presidio. Also, Über is very widely used and much cheaper than where we're from in Boston. We went from the financial district (where we dropped off our car) all the way across town to the unit for $8.75, and that included tip! All in all, we had a great experience from booking to checking out. Lisa was a dream to work with, incredibly responsive and accommodating to requests. We actually had a last minute change in our return flight from 1pm to 4pm and Lisa let us have a late checkout so we wouldnt have to drag our luggage around the city. If you're going to San Fran and are on a budget, I highly advise renting Lisa's unit.
