--- LOCATION ---
Located just 10 minutes from downtown and Old Montreal, near the Lachine Canal and the popular Atwater Market. You will enjoy easy access with the metro, bus or bike to the famous FESTIVALS and appreciate coming back to a quiet and cosy HOME.
--- THE HOUSE ---
With it's large parking space (snow removal not included in winters - bring a snow shovel) and it's HUGE backyard surrounded by mature trees, this is a real OASIS so close to all the action Montreal has to offer!
Our home is on the ground floor of a century old triplex built in 1870, tastefully renovated while maintaining its unique character: brick walls, original hardwood floors, etc.
We tried to mix OLD and NEW and we love natural materials (hardwood, brick, slate). Here you will find : a big and modern kitchen, trendy design, high ceilings and plenty of natural light.
HD cable TV, DVD and hi-speed wireless internet are all included.
This house is IDEAL for 4 guests but can accommodate up to 6 guests:
- one spacious closed bedroom with a new KING-size bed and a "walk-in" for clothes storage
- one sofa bed in the living-room for 2 guests
- TWO comfortable Single mattress (to be put on the ground in the living room) for four extra person.
The house is ideal for a family (we lend you toys etc) or for 1 or 2 couples.
--- THE AREA ---
Located in a quiet street in Pointe-St-Charles, a residential neighbourhood bordered by Old Montreal, the Lachine Canal and downtown. Close to all services (supermarket, pharmacy) and a children's playground. It's a very safe, family friendly neighborhood and you will sleep soundly as there is no traffic on the street at night.
--- TRANSPORT ---
METRO: It's a 12 minutes walk to the Charlevoix metro station (green line). From there, on the same metro line, it's only 6 stops to "Place des Arts" station (FESTIVALS) and 7 stops to "St-Laurent" station (nightlife, bars, clubs, restaurants).
BUS: It is very easy to access down-town by bus: our house is one corner away from a bus stop that takes you down-town in only 10 minutes (line 61 on Wellington street)!
BIKE & ROLLERBLADE: enjoy the 10 minute ride on the great bike path along the "canal" that brings you to the old montreal, or the beautifull bike and rollerblade path (over 100km long!) along the St-Laurent river that is just 5 minutes bike away from Pointe-Saint-Charles.

A super special space. Super comfortable and artfully decorated. Freddie was very speedy and thorough in terms of being in touch. A wonderful place to stay. Highly recommended.
My boyfriend and I stayed at Joanna and Frederique's apartment during our first trip to Montreal and it was great. The space charming and had everything we need including a nice kitchen, comfy couch and bed, perfect for staying in on a rainy day. Glad our first airbnb experience was with seasoned hosts-- the detailed guide they provided when we booked helped us airbnb newbies have a trouble free weekend.
Joanna and Frederique were very communicative, very helpful, and this house was just perfect for my boyfriend and me! The house is open, comfortable, well-lit, and just as lovely as it looks in the photos. We also loved the backyard, which was perfect for relaxing with a glass of wine in the evenings. The neighborhood was calm and quiet, which was perfect for us, since we mostly spent our time working on creative projects indoors. We also had a car, which made getting around a breeze, but even so, there are plenty of great places within walking distance! All in all a wonderful way to spend our first visit to Montreal!
Lovely space and friendly hosts! They even provided a "guide book" for guests with access codes and information about things to do and see.
We are very new to travelling and our hosts made us feel very welcome in Montreal. We found the neighbourhood quiet and had good access to transit. The Guestbook that was sent to us was very helpful and our hosts were available by phone when we needed anything. We really appreciated being able to leave our luggage in the apartment on our last day since we had a later flight.
The apartment was just as the pictures depicted and had everything we needed. We would and have already recommended airbnb and would also recommend this apartment if someone we knew was heading to Montreal.
This was a great rental for my stay in Montreal. There were a couple small surprises (missing hand-soap dispenser, lack of artwork on the walls) but overall you can't beat the location and the neighborhood. Overall I highly recommend this rental, they made it easy!
