The quiet street has a 17th C gateway, a spring-water fountain, and a 12th C church at one end.
We offer hospitality in authentic Provence.

The space
You'll love the private apartment at the top of our house, it encompasses a tastefully decorated and spacious guest bedroom, modern private bathroom with walk-in-shower, plus your own private entrance from a quiet lane. Up the spiral staircase is a fully equipped kitchen-dining room with a comfy sitting area, purely for guest use, with a beautiful outlook over tiled rooftops, plane trees and the hills beyond.

Where you’ll be

Jouques, Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur, France

The hillside setting makes this village a treat to explore on foot via the quaint laneways. It is a genuine living village (meaning it's not just holiday homes that are empty for most of the year) with all the essential amenities for a visit any time of the year; as well as innumerable appealing elements including a Romanesque chapel on the hilltop, grand old gateways, a majestic walled garden with a grand stairway, and local pet donkeys.
On the main boulevard you’ll find three boulangeries, two bars and two restaurants, several grocery stores including a fantastic green-grocer with organic produce, a quality butcher selling organic French-raised meats and house-made meals, the tourist office, the post office, a pharmacy and more.
On Sunday mornings you can shop at the weekly market where there are lots of fresh produce and artisanal products to peruse. If you’re a keen hiker there are many well-maintained forest trails to explore at our doorstep.
