First time in costa rica. I traveled with my husband and our 1 year old daughter. Casa pargo was a great location near town of quepos and manuel Antonio national park. The description was accurate. The apartment was prefect size with amenities for our week stay. Marta was so nice and helpful making sure we got the most out of our stay. The views from the apartment were gorgeous. We had monkeys and birds right outside our balcony. Pool is so convenient for relaxing. Great experience.

If you are looking for the best view in Quepos, this is the place for you! Enjoy poolside drinks at the funky little bar while you watch the stunning sunsets over the bay. The drive up is treacherous, but worth it for the view. We loved seeing two different types of monkeys during our stay. Marta and Douglas are wonderful hosts and will help you with anything you need. This place was sparkling clean and lovely. We will visit again!

Marta, Douglas and their daughter Bianca were incredibly generous and kind. Douglas came down to meet me on his quad when I first arrived and escorted me up to their little Shangri La tucked away on a hill in Quepos. The house it literally 2 mins (by car) away from downtown Quepos and about 20 mins from Manuel Antonio. The location was very convenient and the views of the newly built marina and the sea below were breathtaking. The apartment that I had was very spacious and comfortable with the same incredible views from both the living room and my bedroom. The pool, patio and bar area are just heavenly and made me feel like I was at a luxury resort. I was thankful to Marta and Bianca for speaking to my rental car company (in Spanish) when I had a problem with my rental. They also took me to see a property (about 30 mins) away when I told them I was interested in moving to Costa Rica. I couldn't believe how generous they were to do this! I had a wonderful time at Casa Pargo and would love to return on my next visit to Costa Rica.

We had a wonderful experience staying at Casa Pargo. Douglas and Marta were both attentive and very welcoming. We were late arriving our first night and they went so far as to watch for us and meet us down the hill to make sure we found the place (which it is tucked away in a neighborhood). The property of five apartments is located up a steep hill in a little residential neighborhood with a fantastic view of the marina. It is quiet and private while still only being a short walk into town. The small pool and bar area are dynamite; it's like having your own little resort. This place is perfect for people wanting a home like experience while traveling. It is not the place for people looking to party and to be in the center of it all. The only complaint that we have is that the rooms could have been a little bit cleaner. We would stay there again.

Beautiful location and very accommodating hosts! We had a great time relaxing in the pool & loved the friends we made while staying there. Saw monkeys and toucans and frogs. Gorgeous sunsets from there as well!! Marta was very helpful with setting up tours and recommending places to eat/things to do.

We loved our stay at Casa Pargo. The view of the Marina was beautiful and it was perfectly located in Quepos, but close to the Manuel Antonio. We woke up to see monkeys swinging from the trees and beautiful exotic birds.

Casa Pargo is in a great location with a stunning view! Marta and her husband were very helpful and a pleasure to be around! The house is close to the Marina and I could get meals or stop at the little grocery store. Wifi in the room is perfect! And a family of monkeys every morning on my balcony!!!

Marta And Douglas User ProfileMarta And Douglas is a superhost.

I have a very outgoing personality and love to dance, cook and laugh. I enjoy meeting and helping people. I love to travel throughout my country and other countries as well. My husband Douglas and I have been married for 25 years and have two daughters, Bianca 23 and Sandy 18. Both girls attend the university in San Jose. Both Douglas and I were born and raised in Quepos and we think that with all of the lovely areas in Costa Rica, that the Quepos/Manuel Antonio are is the most beautiful.

I like to dance and cook as well. Although I am not as outgoing as my wife, I do enjoy meeting other people. I have worked for the national electric company "ICE for 27 years as a maintenance supervisor. I like to travel and enjoy seeing other areas of our beautiful country. We slowly built on our property over the years and enjoy sharing it with others. Now with the pool and rancho completed I think we are finally finished.
