You can go on foot to the Louvre, which is 100m.
There is no more central and convenient for exploring the city of light.
The square there are 2 cafes and all around there are many restaurants, this is a neighborhood branch following moves
all the time. You can even eat in restaurants at night because
they never close.
Street Saint Honoré there are many stores for shopping. You can visit on foot monuments that are close to the apartment as the Louvre, the Palais Royal, the Concorde, the Tuilleries, Place Vendôme...
Building overlooks a square, it is typical of parisian architecture and classified ( the old stables were Henri IV ).
What makes my pleasant accommodation is that it's in the heart of Paris very central. transports is next to the apartment, there is a way to develop what you can eat and rest while living like true parisians.

The apartment was located in a great area, very close to the Louvre and two blocks from the Louvre-Rivoli metro stop. I fortunately we weren't able to meet Virginie upon arrival because we had some issues at the airport and arrived a day later than anticipated (it was also a holiday so Virginie was taking a long weekend.) the apartment was tidy and the perfect three adults (I was traveling with my sister and mother.) All in all a great rental! The apartment is located on the fifth floor American floor so it's a bit of a hike but well worth it (especially after all of the wine and cheese we enjoyed during our stay!)
We arrived early due to a change in airline schedules and as a result showed up at the apartment mid morning. We were able to contact Virginie and she contacted a friend to let us in....which we were very grateful for. Virginie came over at noon and was very helpful in explaining the neighborhood, identifying good places to eat, subway locations as well as briefing us on how to use the appliances.
The location of the Apartment is a winner. Easy walking distance from the Seine (Rive Droite) and the Louvre, Tuillerie Gardens and other attractions. We even walked to the Eiffel Tower and back from "home". Great location.
We had a wonderful time while staying in Virginie's apartment. The location was excellent as advertised, close to the Louvre and other attractions. Virginie was kind enough to allow us to leave our luggage early before the apartment was cleaned and provided an excellent recommendation and directions for a local cafe for lunch that afternoon. Thanks Virginie!
I had a wonderful one-month stay - Virginie has a lovely apartment in a fun location near many bonuses : Metro, taxis, cafes, shopping, touristy places and tourist offices. It was a lovely experience - one could have quiet and solitude; or open the windows and let the sounds of activity in; or go downstairs and directly into the action. I also felt very safe staying there - one to two coded areas to go through and then a double-locked door to get into the apartment. Plus, the windows locked and were soundproof - very quiet. Having a cleaning service every week was a real plus. The view was fun and beautiful from the 4th floor. I watched the Horse Chestnut trees below bloom in the early spring. After taking cooking lessons at Le Cordon Bleu, it was fun to prepare a dinner in the kitchen and then serve it to my friends. It was also fun to learn how to use the stove, washer and dryer - not like US appliances, but just as good.
I highly recommend the space and look forward to staying there again. It truly was a wonderful place to stay in Paris!
We had an excellent stay at Virginie's comfortable apartment, which is perfectly situated in the 1st Arr, near shops, restaurants, museums, the Seine, le Metro. The 2 bedrooms make it an excellent choice for families or two couples. The main areas of the apartment (well-equipped kitchen, dining/living rooms) are spacious and very charming. Lots of stairs mean that you can feel less guilty about eating fabulous French patries. Virginie is a very thoughtful host. We would definitely stay again..
