We had a wonderful stay at Elaine and Wesley's cabin! The cabin is beautiful and functional, and the deck had beautiful sun exposure through most of the day. The setting is relaxing with mature forest and lush gardens. Plus, they have two wonderful golden retrievers that greet you at the gate. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing, peaceful getaway.
We really enjoyed our stay. The breakfast basket was a great touch. The location was perfect for us - near some great hiking trails and some nice beaches. The cottage was cozy and full of character.
Wesley and Elaine are fantastic and friendly hosts. My boyfriend and I enjoyed our stay in this peaceful, beautiful naturists' cabin. Everything about the place was described with accuracy plus more! Elaine's garden is vibrant and I loved all the animals that ran about (they have two mellow sweet dogs and some chickens). Little did we know, we got a living room PLUS fireplace as well which came as a wonderful surprise! Ruckle provincial park is nearby which made for a lush hike in the middle of the forest. Simply perfect. I would recommend Wesley and Elaine's cabin to anyone visiting Salt Spring Island. I would also recommend having a car as it seems to be the best way to explore a lot of the island as buses seem to only run every 2 hours. I'm glad we rented a car. Thank you Wesley and Elaine! We will see you again. Judy
What an incredible retreat! We loved this cabin and as was listed, the naturalist haven surrounding! The garden around the cabin was beautiful, and we spent some really nice time relaxing on the back porch as well! The cabin was equipped with everything that we needed, was very cozy and even including a nice breakfast treat! We arrived by bike later at night and were greeted by our warm host Wesley. He made sure we were settled in, but also made sure to give us the space to enjoy our privacy. We also got to meet Elaine on Sunday morning as we were leaving, and both hosts were extremely welcoming and friendly. We would definitely stay here again, and we are going to share this listing to friends and family as a recommended spot.
Elaine and Wesley were lovely, and have built a rustic but incredibly cozy little guest house on the south part of the island. We saw 12 deer as we drove from Ganges into their community. Walking through the garden to the entrance was a highlight too-plus fresh eggs from their chickens and coffee and cream....really thoughtful and welcoming. It's away from the hustle and tourist crowd and is perfect for people who would enjoy some serenity and reflection.
We were enchanted with Wesley and Elaine's cozy cottage set amidst a beautiful garden and west coast forest. We enjoyed Wesley's art which decorated the walls of the cabin. Breakfast included grapes from their vines and eggs from their chickens. The most amazing feature of our stay was doing the Tsa'wout loop trail that is just minutes walk away. We highly recommend this accommodation.
The listing accurately describes this rustic hand-hewn cabin in the woods. Wesley and Elaine gave us a warm welcome and were very informative of what to do and see on SaltSpring Island. Elaine brought us our breakfast basket - lovely homemade jam, eggs from the resident hens, bagels, coffee and tea and some fruit including some very sweet grapes from the garden. Wesley's beautiful artwork decorated the inside cabin walls and the cottage contained all you would require for a comfortable stay. It was lovely to view the surrounding trees and garden from our bedroom windows. We enjoyed long days of exploring SaltSpring's many trails and beaches and returning to our lovely cabin at night. The star-gazing from the front deck was amazing. Thanks for hosting us Wesley & Elaine, you have created a peaceful and comfortable 'home-away from-home' for your visitors to enjoy. Best Wishes, Molly & Chris

Just four years ago our property was wilderness and now it's a garden paradise with all the buildings hand built by the family, using the trees from the land and locally available materials.
We are deeply entrenched in living the good life where health, love, nature, music, art, literature, good food , wine all abound.......
