The private room comes with one twin sized bed but there is floor space and access to a elevated queen sized air mattress or a single one if you want to more than two people. The train station is just 3 blocks away and is surrounded by stores that sell anything guests may need during their stay including produce, electronics, both fast and slow food options, banks, and currency exchange. Interaction with Guests
My job is freelance so I will be in and out as my schedule demands , but I prefer to be out. I do live at this residence. I am as available as necessary to accommodate the guests and I'm never more than a phone call away. I am happy to help with directions or suggestions as well.
Crown Heights is a neighborhood in the central portion of the New York City borough of Brooklyn. The main thoroughfare through this neighborhood is Eastern Parkway, a tree-lined boulevard extending 2 miles (3.2 kilometres) east-west. Easter Parkway is also where you can catch transit and do your shopping as well.
I am a 5 minute walk from the 3 and 4 trains and a 10 minute walk from a A and C trains. There are buses and readily available as well. I am just 20 minutes from Manhattan and easily accessible from both Laguardia and JFK airports.
Other Things to Note
-My apartment is set up much like a hostel. I have 3 bedrooms and rent out all of them. 2 Private rooms and 1 shared room.
-All guests share one bathroom so please be courteous, quick, and clean.
1.) Lock the door when you leave
2.) Toilet seat down boys
3.) You broke it you bought it
The place is a little far, but its convenient to subway3,&4 to Manhattan. Aiesha is very friendly but i only met her one time. Aiesha has lots of food to share with guests. If you don't have too much budget, its a choice.
Aiesha is actually a good girl . Very warm and friendly .
She make you feel at ease the first time you step in .
The apartment was small but clean . The only downside is there was no window and it was hot . So you have to let the noisy fan run all night which made it a bit hard to sleep . The idea of sharing the bathroom with many people is also uncomfortable but ok for a short stay . Bedsheets do not look great and should be changed regularly .
But it is still a nice and safe place to stay as it is close to a Police station .
Aiesha would attract more customers if she would sort out those few things.
Her attitude is top notch.
This was not a good experience and you should read this before booking to see if it is what you want from your trip. This was my first AirBnB experience and, having just got off a flight from London, I was looking forward to meeting my host, dropping off my case at the arranged time of 4pm and heading into Manhattan to meet a friend for dinner. Unfortunately I waited for over three hours for my host to turn up. She did not turn up. She was not contactable by phone or text message and it was only by chance that her neighbour upstairs let me into the hall way and (after three hours of waiting) that another person who was staying at the same AirBnB location let me into the property and showed me where I could leave my case. As my host had still not appeared by 9.30 at night (5 and a half hours after the arranged check in time) I was unable to leave the property to go and get food/ water and was forced to stay in doors as I didn't know whether I would be able to get back into the room later if I went out. Having just got off a 7 hour flight this was not ideal.
The room itself was fine, what I had expected from budget accommodation. The area is VERY edgy, I live in London and am used to this but be very honest with yourself about how comfortable you feel in edgy neighbourhoods as this may not be the place for you. It is not the trendy Williamsburg side of Brooklyn, this is the real Brooklyn.
I would not recommend this host at all and the accommodation is only suitable for a one night stop off on your way to somewhere else. Very poor service.
I had an amazing time in this home! Aiesha has been so kind with me and the room was very comfortable! I will stay there once again without doubt! It was the perfect choice! Thank you so much for everything!
Wonderful trip. She made me feel right at home. Fireflies in the back yard, cute cozy room and great company. Would def come again. Best way there is on the subway 3 or 4. Get off on eastern parkway and enjoy the Caribbean food along the way. Enjoy! You won't be bored here unless you want to be.
I stayed with Aisha for two months, and had a pretty great experience. She was very welcoming and made sure that I felt right at home, even inviting me to the odd party she had in her home. The room itself had plenty of space and the kitchen was great for cooking simple meals. It was also super handy that the building was a 5min walk from the subway, and 10-15mins from nearby grocery stores.
The only bad thing is that there were some renovations going on in the building which lead to a couple problems with the utilities and appliances. Nothing very severe, just a bit of inconvenience sometimes. But aside from that Aiesha was a great host and at the price I couldn't have asked for more from a room.
Had a great time in NYC! Nice spot in Brooklyn, within walking distance to the Utica train station A or C train, so I was able to get to anywhere in the city very easily. Aiesha was very friendly and accommodating, I will more than likely be contacting her again if I need to come back to NYC :-)

Aiesha is my name. I make a career in musical theater and support it teaching fitness classes and personal training sessions. I decided to rent out my space because I have it, and I know what it's like to travel on a budget. Beyond that I like having guests and offering hospitality. I want for the people who come to my space to feel comfortable while they travel the city. Which is why put effort toward keeping my place clean and accessible to my guests. I try to be as accommodating as possible to the people and their traveling needs during their stay.
