Portland is known for its public transportation. It has some of the best in the country. Two bus lines are within one block away. The 19 will take you directly downtown, and it only takes about 10 minutes. Cost is about $2. It's a great deal.
Hello! This is a totally separate apartment with separate entrance in the back of the house. When you arrive you can access the keys to the apartment with the lockbox installed near the door to the unit. The combination will be provided after booking.
Please remove shoes inside the apartment.
Pets welcome! The pet fee is $10/day. Please wipe off paws on wet and rainy days to keep the apartment as clean as possible. And if you don't mind keep pets off furniture as much as possible. It is much appreciated!
Enjoy your stay and the neighborhood! Go out for a drink or icecream, watch a movie in or down the street at the Moreland Theatre, and have fun.
Just let me know if you need anything or have any questions.
The place was wonderful! Good location, very close to the bus which gets you downtown in no time. There were towels and bathrobes and fluffy clean sheets! The kitchenette is perfect for making dinner and keeping beer cold. We had a wonderful time and would absolutely go back :)
This is my second visit to one of John's places. The apartment is perfectly appointed and perfectly located. I didn't need to have much direct contact with John becasue everything was fine. However, anytime in my two stays I have needed something, he has been very responsive. Whne I odn't ave to stay in a hotel, this will bemy "go to" place!
John was a great host and gave lots of wonderful suggestions. The place was exactly listed and the place was beautiful. Definitely recommend staying here.
We spent 7 days at John's apartment early October. The place is in a great location and there are lots of shops and restaurants within walking distance. There was plenty of room for us and our things....lots of storage areas. John left out all sorts of maps and pamphlets to get us starting on our vacation plans. :)
The bed is really comfy and there was a large futon that you could pull out if you needed another sleeping space. The bathroom is also great since there were two sinks (we wish we had this at home). John even had extra supplies for us like a hair dryer, condiments, shampoo etc...
An extra bonus was a washer and dryer so that we got to pack clean clothes instead of dirty ones.
Our favorite restaurant is Kay's and it was really close by. We loved it so much we ate there twice!
The Private Yukon Getaway Apartment in Portland was in an excellent location with great amenities! We were there for three nights, for a family wedding and the host was extremely helpful getting several groups of our family housing in the same vicinity; all of which he hosted via AirBnB. John also accommodated some special requests for us. We would definitely stay here again. When we completed our reservation, John provided an online booklet of restaurants, shops, and local businesses we could walk to in the neighborhood. Our whole group found this very helpful and used it several times with great success.
We ha a great experience from beginning to end. John was very helpful - deciding which of his properties would meet our needs, accessing the apartment, and departure. He responded quickly and thoroughly to each of our questions.
John's Yukon Getaway was perfect, just as he had listed it. There's a nice little deck area to hang out, drink wine, have coffee in the morning. The location was perfect - drivable distance for hiking or exploring the downtown area. My boyfriend and I definitely enjoyed our stay. John was always available for questions and responded immediately, he even recommended a few places to hike and places to eat. I would highly recommend booking with John.

I grew up in Portland and feel fortunate to live in such a fantastic city and neighborhood, and I'm excited to share it with you. I'm a very active person and I enjoy all the great activities Portland has to offer, including skiing, snowboarding, surfing, biking, running, you name it. I would love to make recommendations about what to do during your stay here. There are many things very close by. You won't be disappointed with the accommodations or the activities that are available to you.
I've traveled to France, Germany, and Japan, and truly appreciate the diverse cultures around the world. I feel humbled when I travel because of all the warm and kind people I meet. I want your experience here in Portland to be great and I'll do what I can to help you enjoy your stay.
