The great 19th century writer Jules Verne gained immediate recognition with his first book ‘Five weeks in a balloon’. This appealing adventure was the inspiration for this unique holiday home.
You will certainly discover the wondrous conceptions of Jules Verne here. The living room, where he could have written his books, has a 19th century feel. Enjoy a warm log fire, the multimedia TV and the sofa bed that can be converted into a comfortable double bed in no time. The books by this writer are of course present and can be read at the large dining table. On the threshold-free ground floor there is also a modern kitchen and a bathroom that is also suitable for disabled guests.
There are two en suite bedrooms on the first floor. The first room takes you on an adventurous balloon ride over the Loonse and Drunense Dunes, where you sleep in an actual balloon basket. The second bedroom lets you experience the calm as if you have just landed in a field in a hot air balloon, where the cows have a curious peek. You eventually drift off against the balloon’s basket. When you awake after a while you look out over a wonderful starry sky.
