  • Had a great stay in this apartment. Pictures are completely accurate. Apartment is super-well-located and functional. Kitchen was also functional however FYI lacks a micro or toaster. Has a 2 burner stove which works well for cooking pasta or making coffee.
Significant benefit is having a washer (no dryer) and iron.

    The host:
Silvio was also extremely gracious and also showed us Apartment #1 which was very nice as well. As a host, he treated us to a local cafe as well as a couple recommendations for food. We tried one nearby pizzeria called MonteCarlo which my roman friend also agreed is well priced and good. He also has several other apartments in rome and as a host was great.

    In terms of apartment specifics/logistics:
Apartment is indeed a few meters near a major road, however, the double paned windows face the small street (paradiso) so noise levels are fine either when open or closed. TV worked well, Wifi worked well for most devices. Our apple devices all seemed to have connectivity problems, but blackberry and HP laptops no issues at all. Bathroom was small but had all the right parts. Washer capacity is small but the wash time was quick. There's a clothing dry rack but no dryer. Since our stay was in October and great weather still not hot and we were wise to wash 2 days before departure allowing time to dry !

    The location:
Campo di Fiori is steps away as well as a couple small markets, bars, cafes and other food places.
Taxi and bus stop also steps away. The location can't be beat.

  • Great location and SIlvio is a great host! Cozy 1 bedroom (2 beds- 1 full bed and 1 futon) flat right in the centre of everything. Vatican city, Colosseum and Pantheon all walkable from the flat. Very safe, secure and clean. I highly recommend Silvio and this flat for a memorable stay in Rome.

  • My family and I have just stayed at Campo dei Fiori 2 for 6 nights and 1 night in Trastevere. It was our firtst time using Airbnb, and after having met Silvio and having stayed in 2 of his flats we are very positive. Campo dei Fiori 2 is just in the middle of everything. You can walk to almost all important places in Rome. We did not use bus or metro, we just walked around, and we saw a lot of things. We may be 3 cm shorter, because we walked for many hours. The flat was very clean, and it contained everything we needed. And Silvio is the best host you can meet. He is ever so welcoming, He is informative and he wants to do all the best for his guests. If you have an appointment with Silvio you can be sure he is right on time. After having met Silvio we will not be nervous to use Airbnb again.

  • Our family of five stayed in Silvio's campo de fiori2 apartment, for a week in May. Silvio was very responsive at all times, he picked us up from the station in his car, which was very very good of him, and showed us through the apartment, explaining everything, telling us about the area, making us very welcome.

The apartment is small but functional. It has one bedroom and the lounge converts to a bedroom. So my wife and I had the proper bedroom and out three kids shared two beds in the other room. Then there is a small kitchen / meals area and a bathroom, all of which is small but well equipped.

The building is very safe, you have to go through four doors/ gates to get in. It is close to shops and cafes and attractions.

The location is fantastic in that it is close to Campo de Fiori, which is a wonderful market by day and glorious piazza by evening. From the apartment you could walk to the sites in the historic part of the city; piazza Navona, pantheon and Trevi fountain are all 10 to 15 mins walk away, coliseum and Vatican are maybe 30 to 40 mins walk but a great walk of course.
The apartment is close to a very busy main road, maybe 20 metres away. The windows are double glazed, so when they are closed they do a good job of blocking out most of the traffic noise (except the regular sirens!) . But when the windows are open for fresh air it is very loud which annoyed us as this was something we pointedly tried to avoid. I guess we should have trusted our instincts on that count!
So, Thank you to Silvio for all his help in telling us about the apartment before we booked it, for picking us up from the station, and telling us about the area and Rome.

  • Silvio's apt. is in a great location in Rome. It is centrally located to all of the great sights to be seen and you can walk very easily to most of them. Also, Campo dei Fiori is close and you can buy some delicious truffles there to bring back from your visit to Italy. Silvio is a very accommodating host, letting us check in and out at our convenience. The place was clean and was perfect for the 3 of us! Thank you Silvio :)

  • About Apartment - We overall stayed 10days in Italy, took 3 days trip to Florence, the host let us have two bags left behind while we were away. Place is really close to many shops, restaurants and walking distance to many attraction. I traveled with my 67 years mom from Japan and she was quite happy with the place. It was a first floor, so she didn't need to go up stairs much, kitchen was equipped enough to cook easy stuff, washing machine was there too. I didn't quite understand how to use them, but it sure washed clean.

The host-Silvio was super nice and friendly. He showed us around a bit, very friendly and flexible. He reply with email within a day, i called him a couple of time while i was in Rome, he always answered with smile.

Overall, we had amazing time in Rome and this apartment made us feel very comfortable and secure. We felt home. Fresh fruits and veggies you can get near by market was a bonus!

  • Great location, easy walking to the Pantheon, Piazza Navona, Trastavere, and public transportation. Some noise at night from people leaving Campo del Fiori but it didn't bother us. The neighborhood felt friendly and safe.

Silvio was a great host and very attentive. We'll stay again if we're ever in Rome!
