Internet is not available at the house, however, is available in a different structure on the property that is about a 2 minute walk from the house.

Playa Sombrero is a wonderful place on Osa. The property had everything we could hope for. Being able to completely disconnect and live in the jungle was amazing. The bamboo house has given us great memories and we can't wait to get back.

Boca Sombrero was one of the most wonderful places we've ever stayed in Costa Rica. Casa Troya, the thatch roofed hut we stayed in was absolutely beautiful. We were awoken each morning to the sounds of Scarlet Makaws squawking in nearby trees, and were visited by Capuchin monkeys while making breakfast. The ocean is yards away. We hiked 100 meters up the beach to meet with Eddy, our surf coach who gave us the most amazing day of surfing in Boca Sombrero's gorgeous, huge, mellow rolling waves- perfect for beginners. Grace and Monika, the onsite hostesses, were Awesome, funny and extremely helpful with everything. We only wish we could've stayed longer. This place is paradise.

This place is amazing. If you can book at least three nights. Scarlet macaws, monkeys and hermit crabs wonder around the beautiful house making it feel like you're in paradise. The house is beautiful and very big. The porch with the deck chairs and hammock is great and the garden/forest around the house is gorgeous. It's very secluded so you basically have your own beach. The ocean was quite rough, but there are some easier beaches in the area. Our shower was broken so we had to take cold showers, but otherwise the perfect paradise hangout.

This place is perfection. I was only here two nights and greatly regret such a short stay. I rarely return to the same place twice, but I feel like I need to come back with friends am family. I saw monkeys and macaws and lizards and butterflies and crabs and all kinds of birds I had never seen. The sound of the waves and the rain on the roof is the best white noise you will find anywhere. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. If you are debating whether to stay here or not, book now! I have done a decent amount of traveling and this is my favorite spot thus far.

This place was everything we hoped for and more. The property and the people on the Land were amazing! So helpful and welcoming. We saw monkeys, macaws, fireflies, iguanas, hermit crabs and one of the land keepers even got us a mango off one of the trees

I moved to Costa Rica from Seattle in 2003. I love the laid back lifestyle of Costa Rica and the incredible wildlife on the Osa Peninsula. I work as the booking agent for the three beachfront houses and eight tent cabinas that make up Boca Sombrero.
