Wonderful, spacious and bright flat in a nice suburb 200 m from beach and just 6 km/20 mins away from downtown Copenhagen. Perfect for a design interested couple visiting Copenhagen.
Large and spacious apartment in attractive and peaceful neighborhood in Hellerup only 6 km from the centre of Copenhagen.
With two bedrooms, a living room and a dining room, the apartment is the ideal base for a family or a party of up to 4 for relaxing on the beach, hiking in the woods, shopping on the exclusive Strandvejen or downtown Copenhagen, visiting Kronborg (The home of Hamlet), museums like Louisiana, Ordrupgaard, Statens Museum for Kunst.
INSIDE THE APARTMENT
The apartment is furnished with a stylish and eclectic mix of danish and scandinavian design, furniture, modern art and "funny stuff". The book and magazine collection is eclectic to put it mildly.
The master bedroom has a double bed. The smaller room facing towards the backyard has a single bed. If you are a party of 4, the fourth person can sleep on the couch, which is perfectly suitable as a bed.
The living room has a wide couch (200 cm) and a corner couch, tv, wireless speakers and direct access to the small balcony where you can enjoy the harbor and the life on Strandvejen while having a drink or a light lunch. The dining room has a large table and chairs for 4 people. More chairs can be found in the closet in the hall. Feel free to use the kitchen and the stuff in the fridge. Bathroom has shower and toilet.
THINGS TO SEE
The neighborhood offers dining at Hellerup Club, Altopalato, Sticks&Sushi, an italian "La Locanda" and several takeaway places. Several supermarkets and grocery shops are within short walking distance.
Take the train or Bus 1A to downtown Copenhagen where you can see The Little Mermaid (spoiler alert: She is REALLY small) and lots of other stuff and do your shopping on the worlds oldest pedestrian street, Stroeget and its cosy sidestreets.
I'll be more than happy to help you find all the secret spots of my wonderful city that you won't find in any of the tourist guides.

Interaction with Guests
As much as you prefer. Ask me for tips on restaurants, exhibitions - or other stuff that's on your mind.
The beach is nice. The harbour is nice. The shops are nice. The restaurants are nice. But you are not in Nice, you are in Hellerup.
Train station with direct access to airport is a 7 minute walk from the flat. Bus 1A with s 15 minute ride to downtown Copenhagen is a 3 minute walk from the flat
Enjoy the art. Sit on the balcony. Flip through my books and magazines. Don't smoke. Use the stuff in the fridge. Turn off the lights when you leave. No noise after 10 o'clock. Take off your shoes when you are inside the apartment. Try the Spicy Tuna sandwich in nearby Joe & The Juice. Hands of my wine. Sleep tight. Have fun.
Jesper was extremely nice, laid back and helpful. It was very very easy to deal with him and he always came back with a response to my queries instantly. He even sent me a message to check that everything was okay after I arrived at the apartment. I really enjoyed my 3 day stay in Jesper's apartment. It is really bright and spacious and absolutely huge!! It also has lots of character with cool art and furniture and is in a really beautiful building. It was absolutely spotless and such an amazing space to chill out in. I couldn't have asked for a nicer place to stay or a better (website hidden) whole stay was perfect. Location wise the apartment was right beside Hellerup Main Street with so many cool shops, cafes, restaurants. Hellerup has a very upmarket village feel and a very friendly and relaxed vibe but is also only a short distance from the city centre so you can enjoy the best of both worlds. It is the perfect location for a weekend in CPH or even better a week! I will certainly return for a longer trip next time and I hope to stay in Jesper's place again during my next trip.
Jesper is a really nice person, and very accommodating. He even gave us a bottle of wine!
Jesper was an amazing host, and he made sure we had everything we needed. The neighbourhood can't be beat either. It's close enough to Copenhagen central if you want to visit, and it's right by the ocean if you want to escape and relax on the sand like we did. There's plenty of places to eat, shops and cafes to enjoy as well. I could not have asked for a better getaway.
I hve booked Jespers place for my collegues who are working as surveyors in Copenhagen. They showed my 'thumb up' when I asked them about the place. Everything was perfect and they would like to come back any time. Thanks to Jesper for his help. He always answered my questions very quick!
Nice clean and light appartment. Very recommendable. We stayed friday till sunday, and everything was allright.
Fabulous apartment in an amazing location with balcony and view to the ocean! Very spacious and clean with updated kitchen, dishwasher, washer/dryer combo and nice tv and wi-fi. Beds were wonderful to sleep on as were the pillows and comforters provided. Bathroom is a tight squeeze but it did not negatively affect our stay. Best ice cream shop in all of Copenhagen is located across the street and there's a great hotdog stand on the corner! Jesper was great about communicating, answering our questions, and accomodating a missed arrival time for key pickup. I would HIGHLY recommend.
I'm used to hotels and it's my first experience using the service. I had to take a leap of faith because there was a shortage of decent hotel rooms available during the Chinese president's visit to Denmark. I'm now glad I did because my airbnb experience courtesy of Jesper trumped staying even in 5-star hotels!
I had a nice big flat all to myself in a great part of town -- stylishly furnished yet homey, filled with books and publications which were all screaming for the nerd in me.
Without a doubt, Jesper is a great airbnb host! He made sure I was comfortable and my stay hassle-free. I even a nice bottle of wine waiting for me and a box of chocolates, which, needless to say, I devoured with gusto.
I am a 49 year old advertising executive who enjoys life, food, wine, sports and art. I travel quite a lot, and stay at my girlfriends place a lot, so check out my calender to see if I should be away on the days you want to visit Copenhagen. I'll put a bottle of wine in the fridge for you. And change the sheets before you arrive. How is that for danish hospitality?
