Wonderful B&B in a house of XII century, in the heart of Assisi
Splendid B&B St. Agnes, located at the very center of the town of Assisi, was built in about 1100, and lies on a Roman villa which you can see some mosaics, some columns and some historical remains.

The terracotta floors, wooden beams and fresco del'XVII sec. damage to the apartments of a noble warmth forgotten over time.

Fabio est chaleureux. Il nous a bien reçu dans sa merveilleuse maison très bien située dans la belle ville d'Assise. Les chambres sont charmantes, propres et agréables. Nous avons passés super séjour ! Merci !
Very nice traditional cave room with private bathroom from 14th century. I love Assisi and also I like the room very much. Fabio is so nice and friendly.
Fabio welcomed us at the property, gave us a map of Assisi, some restaurant recommendations and took our heavy bags upstairs, which was wonderful since we were on the 3rd floor and I'm petite and my mom is older, so we wouldn't have been able to carry them up the narrow stairway by ourselves. The room was very clean and bright. There was a swamp cooler in the window to help keep it cool; it was a bit loud and blocked the view through the larger of the two windows, but we were thankful it cooled the room a little bit. We didn't see Fabio after checking in, but someone did leave eggs for us to make for breakfast after we asked if there was anywhere in town to get them. The continental breakfast was mostly in plastic packages except for yogurt and a jam tart. We bought fruit from a local store and it was great to be able to cook ourselves eggs. The B&B is located just a few minutes walk from the main piazza and about 15 minutes walk from the basilica of St. Francis. It was very convenient to see everything in Assisi on foot. I recommend Residenza St. Agnese for independent travellers who don't need a host on site, but want a clean, pretty and historic property right in the city.
We had a lovely time at Residenzia Sant'Agnese during our stay in Assisi. It was our first time using airbnb but Fabio made everything easy and straightforward. The building is similar to a hotel in that all the guests have private rooms, which we liked. The room was comfortable and quiet, and we were glad to have ac after a hot day. Fabio was very friendly and was able to answer our questions about the town. Overall it was a great experience and I look forward to staying there again.
Our trip to Assisi was the pinnacle of our time in Italy - such an amazing escape made by our time at the residence. It is a superb building and amazing for a getaway. Fabio was so helpful over messenger and was always quick to reply. I have the perfect place and a restaurant round the corner to recommend to anyone! Loved it!
This was a truly wonderful place to stay. Both Fabio and his mother went above and beyond to make sure everything with my trip to Assisi went as well as possible. The home is nearly 1000 years old, but the whole thing has been renovated well. The rooms are quite large and impeccably clean. The location, too, is great. It's on the high part of the hill town of Assisi, very close to the central Piazza del Comune and the Church of Santa Chiara (which you can even see if you have the room on the top floor!). Quiet, beautiful, peaceful. I would definitely recommend Sant'Agnese as a great place to stay.
We had a fantastic experience staying in Fabio's beautiful home! The location is perfect, just a couple blocks from the city center. The arch of the original Roman walls are incorporated into the bedroom wall. The building is ancient, but it has been renovated to have every convenience while still retaining the character. Fabio gave us a map and directions to everything we asked about. When our plans for renting a car were changed, he even made some calls and got us a driver to take us all the way to Siene for a fair price (to the driver). Assisi is a wonderful town with so much to do; a whole different world from the famous cities. Staying a few nights there was very relaxing. We were sorry we had not planned to stay longer than two nights. You will fall in love with Assisi, if you have strong legs. After all, it is built on a mountain.
