Book The Osprey Landing today for a coastal getaway you won't forget!

The space
Nestled in the New River inlet, The Osprey Landing offers easy access to North Carolina's iconic coastal living. Enjoy fishing, shrimping, and crabbing from the private dock, explore New River and numerous creeks with our daily kayak rentals, or head out along the coast in your own boat and moor it overnight on the pier.

Enjoy the summer afternoons and evenings by the pool. You can grill your catch of the day on the charcoal grill and go for a relaxing swim in the pool at your leisure.

***Just 2 Miles to Camp Lejeune and less than 8 miles to the beach!!***

Also, Stone Bay is about 10 minutes down the road, and MCAS New River/Camp Geiger are just 20 minutes away.

The Osprey Landing is a private studio guesthouse on our property. While we are a family that enjoys playing in the yard with the dog or going out on the dock, we keep our cheerful noises to a respectful level. Though the potential for normal noise levels exist, you will absolutely find the atmosphere far more relaxing than you'd find with shared, commercial lodging or busy neighborhoods.

You will find the the queen bed and the futon/fold-down sofa more than accommodating for parties of up to 4 adults; we are also more than happy to set up a pack-and-play by request.

___

Note: the dock and pool are private in that they are not community amenities shared with an HOA or anything of the kind. Regarding the pool specifically, while our kiddos enjoy using it on hot summer days, it’s available for your exclusive, private use whenever you are on the premises.

About the Name:
Enjoy a sunrise or the cool of the evening from your private deck overlooking the river and you will almost certainly see a family of ospreys fishing from the tall pine tree above the guest house. There's an equally good chance you will see a U.S. Marine MV-22 Osprey flying down the river toward the coastline.

Other things to note
Please note: this is a studio floor plan. The standard setup consists of a queen bed and a small double futon. We recommend the space for two adults and two kids, and our listing settings reflect that; however, if you have a bigger party and desire the pack and play or to set up on the floor, just let us know and we can make the necessary arrangements.

We have adult and youth kayaks for rent, each for just $10/day. Please let us know in advance your plans to rent these, or we might put them to good use ourselves.

Sneads Ferry, North Carolina, United States

A quiet fishing town dating back to before the founding of the United States, Sneads Ferry is named after Robert Snead, one of the operators of the ferry across the New River inlet. The town depends heavily on seafood industry, annually catching around 400 tons of shrimp, 25 tons of flounder, and 500 tons of seafood such as oysters, clams, scallops, grouper, and more. Just up the road from the burgeoning Topsail Island and a short drive from the refined coastal city of Wilmington, Sneads Ferry still offers a rare glimpse of rural life on the Atlantic Coast.

For generations, the Millis family has been running shrimp boats along the Atlantic Coast from just across the creek. Enjoy watching the boats come and go, or swing by the Millis and Mitchell families' docks for fresh seafood straight from the Atlantic.

Enjoy live music and small town vibes at Fulcher's Landing and Blackbeard's Restaurant a mile up the road, or take a boat out on the water. You will also enjoy visiting the Seaview Pier and parks on North Topsail Island a few minutes away.

During your stay
When you arrive, you will find a lock box located outside of the private entrance. Please do not come to the door of the main house, as we need to maintain our daily routine--something very difficult for children and a dog to do when someone knocks at the door.

We will definitely do our best to come out to meet you and answer any questions after you get settled if you would like. Just send a message or call.
