My name is Shaker and I would be happy to welcome you to our camp! My family has been in Wadi Rum for many generations and I am born and raised in the surrounding desert. As a guest in our camp you will have the opportunity to learn from our vast knowledge of the land and you will be exposed to the Bedouin culture and our daily lives. Every night we prepare food traditional to the region and cook in an underground oven (Zarb), shared together with other guests in the traditional nomad style.

The space
Our camp is a truly authentic Bedouin experience. In the communal tent we share dinner in front of the fire at a set time, and play board games and card in the evenings. Every guest has the privacy and comfort of a private tent with linen, blankets and electricity. The gender seperated bathroom has shower and western style toilet.

I am born and bred in Wadi Rum. My family have lived here for generations and we have lived off livestock herding until the arrival of tourism. We now offer an opportunity for travellers to join us at our camp in the desert and learn about our culture and custom and see the beautiful landscapes where we are fortunate to call home.
