Mark's place was great and we were really pleased with our stay. Check in was easy and Mark was forthcoming with useful info on bike trails, local restaurants etc. The location is really perfect, like everyone else has said! And the room is great, clean bathroom. Recommended! And thanks again to Mark for a positive airbnb experience!
We had a great time staying at Mark's place! The bed was very comfortable, and the room was pretty well isolated from the rest of the apartment, so it felt pretty cozy. Mark was really helpful with showing us different things, and we were within walking distance of almost anything we needed, including the coffee shop downstairs, bike rental stations and paths, and a HUGE community garden. Loved it. We'll be back for sure.
Close to the Capital in a really fun neighborhood with lots of great ethnic restaurants.
Mark's clean and comfortable extra room was perfect for my sister and me.
The air-conditioned bedroom is situated down a long hall from the kitchen and Mark's living space, thus providing ample privacy within the shared apartment. The apartment itself is located above a great coffee shop, and is less than a block away from a multi-use bike path and lovely community garden.
Mark was easy to communicate with, flexible, helpful (re: directions, sightseeing and dining tips, accessing the apartment's assorted amenities) and otherwise unimposing.
I highly recommend Mark and his well-equipped, centrally-located Madison airbnb!
Mark is the perfect example of the perfect AirBNB host. He was prompt, friendly, and gave useful advice. His place is exactly as advertised. We really enjoyed our stay. If you're visiting Madison, this is THE place to stay on AirBNB.
Mark is a wonderful and wonderfully knowledgeable host. The room is comfortable, clean, and tastefully decorated. The property is conveniently located above a coffee shop and it’s easy to bike to State Street and the Capitol. Mark is extremely familiar with Madison and can show you how to eat, shop, and play like a local. I would not hesitate to stay here again.
We were greeted by Mark at the cafe downstairs...and lead up to the room. He does have dogs, they are sweet. His place is shared with another renter at the same entrance. The bed is SOO COMFY! There is enough room for 2 people. There was airconditioning...that was nice. Good enough for my daughter and I for the night. Shared bathroom.
My daughter and I spent one night at Mark's place. He was very helpful and made checking in so easy. A lot of things fell right into place for us without much effort. Mark lives above a nice cafe with great coffee, smoothies, sandwiches and really pretty outdoor seating. We also stopped at an antique shop next to Mark's and found a gift. There's a sweet bike trail right behind his place too. When we arrived in the afternoon, Mark mentioned that he was headed to a free lakefront music and food festival, so we headed down there and saw a band we had been meaning to see the night before in Minneapolis. Mark also suggested a sushi restaurant that we enjoyed, and we couldn't be happier getting away to Madison for a day.
Room, bed, and especially the shower (which has two showerheads and good water pressure) were great. Since I was there during the week, I didn't get to see Mark too much. But from our brief conversations, both he and his gf was very affable and helpful, suggesting restaurants, dishes, and showing me how to get around on bike if need be.
The location is close to Tenney Park (looked great for fishing), as well as other fine neighborhood establishments. Having a coffee shop right below was convenient as well. I actually walked to and from State Street daily, but it's a bit of a ways by foot. Biking shouldn't be an issue though.
Comfy bed. Great shower. Lovely part of town. Located above a coffee shop a nice bonus!
