I'm a photographer subletting her one-bedroom apartment in the middle of Prenzlauer Berg.
The apartment is as charming as they come in Berlin with high ceilings (3,5m), molding on the bedroom ceiling, wooden floors and wing doors.
There is a vintagy feel (50s/60s) to the living room furniture, complete with a couch that can be turned into a bed, if need be.
There is a beautiful fireplace in both living room and bedroom, but they're mostly just decoration, I've never used either of them.
The kitchen is complete with the obligatory fridge, freezer and microwave and pimped out with an espresso machine/milk steamer.
You're welcome to use my spices and olive oil for cooking if you like.
There is a washing machine and powder that you can both use.
Speedy wifi is provided, so are clean sheets.
I also ride a nice bike which you are welcome to use if u like.
The location is really the highlight of this apartment, conveniently located across the street from 3 tram lines, a subway station (U2 - yes, like the band) and the ever so popular Kastanienallee, presumably Berlin's most popular street with lots of cute cafes, shops and restaurants.
Should you have any more questions, I'd be more than happy to answer them!

Katja's appartement is wonderful, nice vintage furniture and a great bed indeed. Great located in a neighbourhood with lots of bars and restaurants.
We did not meet Katja, but the communication was easy. She is very accommodating.
Excellent choice for your stay in Berlin.
Katja's home was really unique and the atmosphere was nice and relaxing, I really enjoyed spending time in her apartment in Berlin. I cannot believe how comfortable the bed was, extra points to that! The location of the apartment is also great, many of the places that I wanted to visit were just in walking distance or only few stops away by public transport.
Katjas place was a litle cousey appartment, in a good location, Katja providece also good communication, we will diffently go back there some time, :)
Katja's place is lovely, and the location in the heart of Prenzlauer Berg can't be beat - we were always just a short transit journey away from wherever we wanted to be. I'd stay again in a heartbeat if we find ourselves in Berlin again.
Very well located next to U-Bahn Eberswalder Straße, 3 stops from Alexanderplatz and 12 min my tram to Hackescher Markt. Loads of restaurants and bars as well as Kulturbrauerei nearby.
Flat is well-designed in retro style in a typical Berlin (renovated!) old building in Berlin.
At the beginning we had some problems completing the payment on the site but Katya was patient and kind. The keys were waiting for us as planned and the apartment was nice and very central. At the end of our stay we met Katia, which was a big plus :)
Katja's place was spacious, comfy, and charming. Nice to stay in an airbnb place that wasn't cookie-cutter IKEA, but rather, very well-decorated with lovely vintage touches. Katja herself was very quick in responding, and getting keys to the place was a cinch. Though we never met her, she made the whole transaction easy and stress-free. The apartment is also extremely conveniently located -- the U-bahn and tram stops are literally steps away -- and all of Prenzlauer Berg's delicious food and lovely shops are within walking distance. If you're a light sleeper/prefer a quiet street, just be aware that the apartment is on a main street with lots of car and foot traffic. In especially nice weather, this makes for a loud party group or 2 hanging out on the street below. But hey, it's Berlin, and alles ist gut. Definitely recommend this place for its central location, beautiful interior, and thoughtful host!
The apartment had everything we needed, it was clean and in a good location for walking or accessing public transport.
The apartment is in the epicenter of Berlin. It was no coincidence that whenever people arranged a place to meet without knowing where we were staying, it was always around the corner at walking distance. Need I say more. The apartment is charmingly monumental old east style Berlin with the amazing ornamental tiled heating units (check Katja's photo's). We didn't meet the host, but got and left the key without any trouble and had the place to ourselves. Recommended.
