The area is very next to the city centre of Florence, (just 5 min by bus or 15 walking along the river) but at the same time It's very quiet!
It' s a typical Florence area with many small shops, cafè, restaurants
where you can buy food and all the services you can need.
In the nearby you can also find parks and green area, cinemas and you can walk along the river for jogging or just relaxing.
If you come by bus the house can be easily reached from Santa Maria Novella train station: bus 23 (through the city centre), bus 31, bus 32, bus 8.
My friends and I absolutely loved Lorenzo's apartment. It fit all of us comfortably and it was easy to find. The location was good and a bus stop was right up the block. Checking in and out was extremely easy. Although we didn't get to meet Lorenzo, he was still easy to contact.
Our stay in Florence was very nice, Lorenzo is very friendly and had some good advice on where to go locally. Don't waste your money in the centre of town on gelatos there's an amazing one just up the street a large for €3. As for the space its cozy, the kitchen is a little lacking however, no sink or cooker just a microwave and plastic plates. For someone wanting to eat out every night it is perfect. Only 15 mins walk to an excellent view of Florence at sunset/night at piazzale Michelangelo
Lorenzo's place was truly amazing. The comfort of having a private apartment when visiting Florence was awesome. Lorenzo and his mother were very nice, helpful, and provided everything needed for a great stay. I would highly recommend his place to anyone visiting Florence!
It's quite exact as described. Not in the centre but easy to reach by bus (about 30 minutes from the train station) and then 5-min walk. High-speed wifi in a simple clean studio. The restaurant nearby is very nice with authentic fiorentito food. We couldn't find the supermarket in the neighborhood though. We checked out at 10am as requested on the day of departure but we couldnt reach Lorenzo by phone or SMS (maybe he's too busy) so we left the keys at the in-side door (we share the same common entrance with Lorenzo and his mother's apartments).
It's a nice quiet place and also easy to get to the town area by bus. Lorenzo came by to say 'Hello' and was very friendly. The apartment is very comfortable for 2 and wifi connection is very good too.
