Luxuriate in 5 star peace. Allow us to care for you in the cosy twin room and experience our legendary breakfast. Dreamy pillows, soft duvets, bathrobes, slippers EVERYTHING you could wish for. Airport 30 mins. Dublin 40 mins. Make that memory!
We offer our guests Bed and Breakfast in the little Twin Room which is the most quiet and peaceful in our home. You will have exclusive use of the shower room next door. However we invite you to luxuriate in our lovely Drawing Room in front of a log fire or to spend time in the garden weather permitting. We know that breakfast in our Dining Room will delight you. In the Royal County of Meath, where legends of The High Kings of Ireland began and where people from the dawn of time built fabulous monuments to ''catch'' the sun's brilliant Solstice rays, we invite you to our haven. Nestled in the rich tapestry of Ireland's most mystical county, minutes away from Newgrange, The Hill of Tara and the majesty of the river Boyne, we invite you to revel in the beauty of it all and to cast your cares to the wind. From a welcoming Afternoon Tea or Coffee in our peaceful and beautiful Drawing Room to a night's sleep in the stillness of the Irish countryside in our tastefully decorated Twin Room to a relaxed breakfast in our Dining Room at our Regency Table, WE REGRET NO KITCHEN AVAILABLE but we offer you a warm Irish welcome for bed and breakfast. We pride ouselves on our caring consideration including many little touches more usual in listings twice our price. We want you to feel cared for and cared about. There are charming tables and chairs set out in the garden in sunshine and shade so, choose a book, take a cup of tea or coffee and relax before setting out on a wonderful day spent in the surrounding countryside or on a trip into town. We are only 35 minutes, via the M1 from Dublin Airport and 40 minutes drive from Dublin city. Never feel that you are confined to your room.....that is such a small part of what we offer, within reason and if at all possible we will meet your requests and needs, with a smile.
Here at Cherith Lea House (only 30 mins from Dublin Airport) we are within 20 minutes of Newgrange Passage Tomb (older than the Pyramids) and there are Golf Courses and Links within easy access. To the North there is the village of Carlingford and with close access to Motorways, The Glens of Antrim, The Giant's Causeway and beautiful Belfast are within a couple of hours by car. Dublin City is 40 minutes away. The amenities, too many to list here, are endless and whatever your wish, we will do our utmost to guide you in the right direction.
While we will be on hand to offer advice or to give assistance at all times, we prefer to offer you as much privacy as possible. It is our hope that our household can run on silent wheels enabling you to enjoy every comfort with the minimum of fuss. We look forward to getting to know all our guests and we hope that you will enjoy getting to know us.
Despite being so close to Dublin City (approx 35Km) and within easy reach of Historic Drogheda, Navan and Dundalk, our little lane is a peaceful jewel. There can be few things more delightful than the Dawn Chorus which begins our day nor the soft darkenss of our quiet nights. If you love stars, you will be stunned by the beauty of our night skies. Our village of Duleek, 5 minutes away, is of huge historic improtance and boasts many interesting monuments and at least 3 good restaurants. We live in a gentle, pastoral landscape which we hope will be a perfect setting for your holiday.
There are buses between Duleek and Dublin, Navan and Drogheda several times a day. From the Bus Station in Drogheda there are buses to Dublin every half hour. Drogheda Train Station also offers regular trains between Belfast, Drogheda and Dublin. If you require a Taxi, we will be delighted to organise one for you.
Although Bed alone or Bed and Breakfast are what we offer, we will be delighted to make a reservation at one of our favourite local Restaurants if you wish.

Interaction with guests
We love getting to know our guests and are on hand to offer any help that you may need. However we are aware that sometimes you may desire privacy or quiet........you tell us :-) We will enjoy a cuo of tea/coffee with you and if you like to make music, there is a piano, guitar, and saxaphone in the great room. You will find travel books and other books and maps in your room and in the Drawing Room where you can curl up in front of the fire and plan your days.
Other things to note
As we offer Bed and Breakfast we regret that the kitchen area is strictly private. As stated elsewhere, coffee, tea, sandwiches, packed lunches can be ordered and on your arrival you will be greeted with a tray of tea/coffee, sandwiches/scones and cake/biscuits in our lovely Drawing Room upstairs. Wait til you see our lovely packed lunches! We specialise in giving a taste of the past with a scrumptious old fashioned pic-nic.
THERE ARE NO FOOD PREPARATION FACILITIES as we operate strictly on a Bed and Breakfast basis and we ask that while you are with us you respect our Kitchen Strictly Private policy. This is non-negotiable as our Kitchen is our family Livingroom but we will happily provide you with tea, coffee etc either in the Dining Room or in our Drawing Room upstairs. Thank you in advance for your acceptance of this little rule ☺. We are a Christian household and while we respect personal choice, we do expect our guests to respect our values. We ask you to treat and respect our home as you would respect yours. We ask that you do not smoke at any time whilst indoors and that used cigarettes are disposed of in specifically dedicated 'tubs' of sand. Our number one rule is.....Have a happy,
unforgettable stay and please come back and stay with us again and again.

I love nature. When I wake in the morning and look out the window I am always delighted by the myriad birds our garden hosts. Each Season brings its own beauty and I feel so blessed to live in this pastoral and beautiful corner of Ireland. I couldn't live without for the other things, I couldn't live without flowers, birdsong, music or books and I love poetry. As a Host I want to give the gift of peace, quiet and companionship to my guests. You will need for nothing, that is my quest. If this lovely Co Meath of ours can cast its spell over you then I will be happy.
