The 2 beds are orthopaedic standard and have soft, dreamy pillows. We offer Bed and Breakfast in our home in the Royal County of Meath, where legends of The High Kings of Ireland began and where people from the dawn of time built fabulous monuments to ''catch'' the sun's brilliant Solstice rays, we invite you to our haven. Nestled in the rich tapestry of Ireland's most mystical county, minutes away from Newgrange, The Hill of Tara and the majesty of the river Boyne, we invite you to revel in the beauty of it all and to cast your cares to the wind. From a welcoming Afternoon Tea or Coffee in our peaceful and beautiful Drawing Room to a night's sleep in the stillness of the Irish countryside in our tastefully decorated Twin Room to a relaxed breakfast in our Dining Room at our Regency Table, WE REGRET NO KITCHEN AVAILABLE but we offer you a warm Irish welcome for bed and breakfast. There are charming tables and chairs set out in the garden in sunshine and shade so, choose a book, take a cup of tea or coffee and relax before setting out on a wonderful day spent in the surrounding countryside or on a trip into town. We are only 35 minutes, via the M1 from Dublin Airport and 40 minutes drive from Dublin city.
Here at Cherith Lea House (only 30 mins from Dublin Airport) we are within 20 minutes of Newgrange Passage Tomb (older than the Pyramids) and there are Golf Courses and Links within easy access. To the North there is the village of Carlingford and with close access to Motorways, The Glens of Antrim, The Giant's Causeway and beautiful Belfast are within a couple of hours by car. Dublin City is 40 minutes away. The amenities, too many to list here, are endless and whatever your wish, we will do our utmost to guide you in the right direction.
While we will be on hand to offer advice or to give assistance at all times, we prefer to offer you as much privacy as possible. It is our hope that our household can run on silent wheels enabling you to enjoy every comfort with the minimum of fuss. We look forward to getting to know all our guests and we hope that you will enjoy getting to know us.
Despite being so close to Dublin City (approx 35Km) and within easy reach of Historic Drogheda, Navan and Dundalk, our little lane is a peaceful jewel. There can be few things more delightful than the Dawn Chorus which begins our day nor the soft darkenss of our quiet nights. If you love stars, you will be stunned by the beauty of our night skies. Our village of Duleek, 5 minutes away, is of huge historic improtance and boasts many interesting monuments and at least 3 good restaurants. We live in a gentle, pastoral landscape which we hope will be a perfect setting for your holiday.
There are buses between Duleek and Dublin, Navan and Drogheda several times a day. From the Bus Station in Drogheda there are buses to Dublin every half hour. Drogheda Train Station also offers regular trains between Belfast, Drogheda and Dublin. If you require a Taxi, we will be delighted to organise one for you.
Although Bed alone or Bed and Breakfast are what we offer, we will consider offering a simple Evening Meal at an extra charge but we respectfully request that you give us 24 hours notice. You are welcome to bring a bottle of your own wine. Should you wish to entertain guests for a meal (max of 4) during your stay we will do our best to accomodate you. Perhaps you may wish to celebrate a special date, if so, we can help you to plan a small, intimate get-together.

Interaction with Guests
We love getting to know our guests and are on hand to offer any help that you may need. However we are aware that sometimes you may desire privacy or quiet........you tell us :-)
Our home, your destination, is a pastoral one. We are located in a lane-way surrounded by fields. There are other houses dotted around but we enjoy a lovely, country ''stand-alone'' position. Our nearest village, Duleek is less than two miles away and there are 2 supermarkets, 2 pharmacies and smaller shops. One excellent restaurant is situated in the middle of the village and is a ''must-visit''.
A car really is a necessity although buses do travel between Duleek and Dublin, Navan and Drogheda. We are lucky to have excellent Taxi services available. Should you need a lift to a bus or train, if at all possible, we will be delighted to oblige.
Other Things to Note
As we offer Bed and Breakfast we regret that the kitchen area is strictly private. As stated elsewhere, coffee, tea, sandwiches, packed lunches can be ordered and on your arrival you will be greeted with a tray of tea/coffee, sandwiches/scones and cake/biscuits in our lovely Drawing Room upstairs.
We are a Christian household and while we respect personal choice, we do expect our guests to respect our values. We ask you to treat and respect our home as you would respect yours. We ask that you do not smoke at any time whilst indoors and that used cigarettes are disposed of in specifically dedicated 'tubs' of sand. Our number one rule is.....Have a happy,
unforgettable stay and please come back and stay with us again and again.
Our sumptuous Drawing room is the perfect place to unwind with a book. There is a small Honesty Bar available.
