About this listing
This is my Downtown Cottage. Two Bedroom House located in the heart of Charlottetown. Five min walk to restaurants, museums, live music, night life, waterfront, & shopping. 20 min drive to the amazing beaches. Beach in the day city in the night.
Airy and fresh two bedroom home that I use as my downtown cottage. The location is great for those who want to walk around Charlottetown's historic area, take in the theater, restaurants, live music or stroll by the water front.
Parking for one vehicle. Walk up to the back deck where there is a picnic table to enjoy an evening meal out doors. The house is downtown so behind the patio is parking for Holland College but by 4PM is rather quiet and private.
On the main floor you will find a living room with TV, open into a dining area and a desk tucked under the open stairs. The kitchen is equipped with a dishwasher, full size fridge & stove. It is used as a cottage so the kitchen has basic supplies for coking and serving.
On the second level you have two bedrooms. One that has a queen size bed, bureau and clothes rack. The second bedroom has two single beds or they can be pushed together and made up as a double bed, and a clothes rack.
The bathroom has a washer and dryer.
The house has wireless internet.

On PEI we separate compost, recycling, garbage. There are bins for each.
I'd ask that the towels stay in the house and not head to the beach with you.
Enjoy the house and respect the property.

Sarah has been a wonderful host, from helping me plan my trip with small details about the island, to the best local places that are a must go. The downtown cottage is a very cozy place located close to everything in downtown. It is very clean, and equipped with a lot of the basic essentials, which is nice. Sarah also checked in with me every once in a while through my stay to make sure everything was alright or to see if I needed anything. I will definitely be staying here again next time I'm in P.E.I.
We loved the downtown cottage due to its proximity to the city. Everything was within walking distance. Sarah was very helpful in attending to our needs and never failed to check on us via SMS to make sure we were OK.
We spent 5 nights at Sarah's cottage exploring PEI and we had a fantastic time. The cottage was just perfect for the 3 of us and had everything we needed. Sarah was great in sending me the details and also very accommodating when we requested a later check out. She left us with instructions and also a few nice touches. Thank you for a great stay at your gorgeous cottage.
This cottage was perfect for our trip. It is unassuming on the outside but creatively decorated and very welcoming on the inside (it's very charming).
It's about a 10 minute walk from downtown, which worked well for us. There is everything you need to feel comfortable, including a rack to hang clothes in each bedroom and plenty of blankets and towels (more than enough for four adults and two babies). The laundry was handy to have too.
There is a bit of noise from the parking lot behind in the morning (as advertised), but it wasn't too bad and didn't wake the babies. Sarah was a great host, and responded promptly to the few minor questions we had. We had a wonderful vacation and would definitely stay here again.
The cottage was perfect for exploring Charlottetown and a great base for the rest of the island. We had all we needed and the cottage was well kept. Our host was fantastically hospitable; always open to questions and keen to help. We loved PEI and Sarah and the cottage were a great advert for what makes the island so good.
What a wonderful downtown cottage to stay in while visiting Charlottetown. We were tremendously impressed with the space and just how clean and charming, yet modern, the house is. Everything is provided to you. Never had the opportunity to meet Sarah but she was fantastic in ensuring that everything was taken care of. Also reassuring that her family live nearby should we have any concerns. The house is a mere 10-15 min walk to downtown, which to me is a plus. The neighbourhood was safe. A great value. Thank you Sarah!
This space is great. A group of 5 people stayed here in August for 5 days and it suited all of our needs.
The location is a quick walk to downtown, very spacious clean house with all the basic amenities.
I would absolutely stay here again! Sarah made everything easy and as arranged for us.
About the Host, Sarah
I'm Sarah a wife a new Mother and an Islander. I'm from Charlottetown PEI. Growing up in such a beautiful place has shaped my loves. I love the ocean, the beach, wildlife, and the amazing PEI sunsets. My work life has taken me off Island and I split my time with Toronto where I work in film. I bought a house on PEI and with my families help have renovated it into a breezy downtown cottage.
I'm new to airbnb but am looking forward to the possibilities and taking my new little son on some adventures.
