Come share my modest, cozy, converted 3 room, 1 bath apartment on the 5th floor of a pre-war walk-up building in the Harlem neighborhood of Manhattan.
THE LARGE ROOM
This large room is 11 x 24, 264 sq ft (25 sq m, 25 qm), curtained off, split into two and separated by almost-ceiling-high armoires.
There's 2 twin sized (single sized) daybeds with single beds stored below each, totaling 4 available single beds. Two beds have new comfortable Sealy Posturepedic mattresses and the other two have new comfortable King Koil mattresses. One set can be converted into a king sized bed.
One of these two spaces (half of this large room) faces the street so there's some traffic noise in the mornings around 8am. If the sleep sound generator is used, the traffic noise is diminished.
There's 2 common/shared areas : a small kitchen and bathroom.
A Schwinn moutain bike is also available at a rate of $20/day.
Towels, linens, air conditioning/heating, kitchen use, Wi-Fi internet (laptop not provided) and lite printing are provided at no extra cost.
A healthy breakfast of fruits, cereal and tea/coffee is setup for self serve. Ingredients for a hot breakfast of oatmeal, grits and eggs are also available and maybe prepared at your convenience.
The kitchen is fully equipped with a variety of cooking tools (rice cooker, pressure cooker, magic bullet, etc) and is available for use for those who prefer to save by eating in. There's also a gourmet grocery store (3 blocks away) to purchase ingredients for lunch/dinner.
The apartment is on the 5th floor. The building, however, does not have an elevator, so prepare to walk some flights to the apartment.

So we were very very disappointed because of the lack of privacy, the lack of space and the lack of hospitality.
Buon collegamento metro e zona sicura. Padrona di casa iper-controllante, quasi invadente.
Latasha is a very kind host, she's always there to help you and give you advices. The apartment is like we expected, a little noisy by night but everything else was perfect (i was with 3 friends and it was perfect). The location is VERY good, subway is near and gets you to midtown in 15mn ! The neighbourood is safe, no problem about that, and there are shops and bars (Harlem Tavern is VERY good). Would visit Latasha's apartment again and highly recommended her ! Thanks for all !
We spent 8 nights at Latasha's, she is a wonderful host. She keeps everything very clean and the beds are really confortable. The location was pretty good for us too, the subway gets you to midtown in no time and the suburb felt safe at day or night, there are grocery stores and places to eat until late.
We spent only 1 night in Latasha's apartmant. It was perfect. The location is really good, and Latasha is a very kind host. If you visit her house, don't forget to check her roof, wonderful view. Recommended!!!
