I highly recomend Sean's house, it´s cosy and spacious, ideal if you are exploring the west of Ireland. You will enjoy the amazing landscape and have a great stay ! Thanks Sean.
We had a great stay at the loft cottage. It's a very cozy house but has plenty of room. The kitchen was fully equipped and was a perfect place to cook our Christmas dinner! Sean has very welcoming and ensured that there was plenty of turf for the fire. The location is calm and quiet and has good access to the NW of Ireland.
Sean and his daughter Stephanie both made us feel incredibly welcome in their little stone cottage. The fire was roaring when we arrived, and we hunkered down for a cozy evening after a quick trip to the local pub. It was lovely to turn our phones off and just enjoy the night - be sure to go outside and look up at the stars. Amazing!
A really nice comfortable couple of days, very suitable for us and our 5 kids
This is the true Irish Country experience, what a beautiful cottage this was. We only stayed one night, but will definitely be back again. Sean was a great host, he greeted us upon arrival, had a fire already going and gave us a quick tour before leaving us alone for the evening. Very tidy and clean space and plenty of room in the kitchen for cooking. Can't wait to enjoy another stay in this countryside gem.
We had a lovely welcome to Old Stone Cottage. Sean himself wasn't there when we first arrived, but we were greeted by his father, his wife Sheila and also met his sister and son! The cottage itself was absolutely charming; very spacious, clean, lovely little garden and contained everything we would have wanted. I would definitely stay here again next time we travel to Ireland. The cottage is quite remote, but the coordinates provided by Sean made sure we found it with no problem. There is a shop and post office a minute's walk away (run by Sean's sister), which is very useful for stocking up on provisions. The soda bread is lovely. Sean's wife was wonderful in helping with a pair of broken shoes, five minutes before I was due to leave for a wedding. And every evening when we returned to the cottage, a fire was glowing - such a welcome back every day. And the stars in the night sky looked magical - one of the advantages of not staying in a town. Everyone we met was very friendly - I really can't fault anything.
