Padraig and Sara went out of they're way to make us feel right at home, and greeted us with the expected Irish hospitality. We were given our room with keys to the house, and access to the kitchen, washer/dryer, and bathrooms. They gave us some excellent ideas of places to see on our honeymoon trip, which turned out to be some of the most interesting places we saw while there. Later we simply sat and talked with them like old friends, and enjoyed some Irish coffee. The price was exceptionally reasonable, and even their boys were very kind and respectful. While on our vacation we did the tourist thing, and the city thing, but the local conversation and interaction added to the culture and history, which Padraig was clearly versed in, was what made the trip all the more memorable. My wife and I tend to be private people who keep to ourselves, but felt right at home from the moment we arrived. Padraig and Sara were always ready and willing to help us figure out the public transportation, the lesser and more known attractions to visitors, and places to sample good food and drink. The local food and drink also includes the homemade breads that were made just prior to our arrival, and warmly offered to us. Thank you for the excellent stay. Should we come back through that way again we will most definitely contact you again.

Our hosts were great! Our flight got delayed and they were there to meet us even at the late hour we arrived. There was fresh bread and jam! It was wonderful! They were helpful in giving us information on what to go see and do around the area. The Rose cottage was a great place to stay! I would recommend it to anyone!

It was a lovely trip in Ireland also thanks this very kind hosting. Padraig has welcomed us with excellent bread, butter, jam, tea, milk and fruit. Furthermore, the Rose Cottage Garden is equipped with every comfort and is ideal for a two people long staying. I highly recommend this little apartment, in which I myself would return in case I have to come back to Drogheda. Eugenio De Caro
