About This Listing
Roomy and bright double bedroom in apartment of three rooms. Views to exterior and trees. Double bed of 1,35m. Bathroom next to bedroom in the entrance, like private, because there is another toilete. Electric heating and pretty fresh in summer.
Located in Mestalla neighbourhood, next to the Valencia football club stadium, and near to downtown. Next to Turia Gardens, the longuest urban park in Europe located in the old river bed, and nearby Royal Gardens, the most ancient in the city, where you can visit the ruins of the medieval Royal Palace.
Two minutes walking to Alameda metro station with direct link to train stations (North and Joaquín Sorolla) and Airport, lines 3 red and 5 green. Besides there are lots of bus lines along the old river, the 95 for instance to go to the City of Arts and Sciences.
In our street there is bike path and a Valenbisi station to rent a public bike for 30 minutes at a afordable price (you can check the bike in and out to keep it longer with no extra charges). If you take a bike you can easily get to the beach or visit the entire city from west to east along the old riverbed.
Do not hesitate to ask for availability, because we rent either the entire apartment or each bedroom. So the bedroom may seem available, and posibly but unprobably the apartment is rented.

Our place is special because it was desinged, home improved (with some help) and decorated by Gemma and me. I was born in the hospital a few blocks away and I lived my entire childhood in this home. You can enjoy the island kitchen, the white leather chaiselongue sofa, the 40 inches led TV (most of the shows and movies can be changed to English with the remote control), and the PS2 with Guitar Hero 3.
1- We are freelance wedding photographers that work editing photos and videos at home. Sometimes, not everyday, we have a meeting with clients in the living room that usually are at 12h. or at 20h. and that may last one hour. Please, DURING A MEETING DO NOT BE HOME or remain inside your bedroom. We'll inform you if we have any meeting in advance.
2- Please, do not leave BEACH SAND in the apartment, room and/or bed. Shake properly your towels at the beach and do it once again in the laundry room, then please sweep the sand. A nice way to avoid bringing sand is to have a SHOWER at home right after returning from the beach.
3- Please, do not HANG TOWELS or clothes outside your window. You can use the rack in the laundry room, next to the washing machine.
4- CHECK OUT at 12h/12pm (noon/midday). You can leave your luggage longer in the entrance and keep the key until you finally leave at the time you need.
5- LUNCH TIME is at 14h (2pm) and DINNER TIME is at 21h (9pm). Please do not cook earlier than that if we are working with our computers in the living room which is one meter away from the kitchen.
6- Please, read the GARBAGE bins: "PLASTIC AND CANS" on the yellow can for plastic bottles, cans and tetra bricks. "ORGANIC TRASH" for it. "CARDBOARD AND PAPER" for it. Everything is in the kitchen except the "GLASS", that it's at the green bag in the laundry room.
7- Please, do not leave GLASSES in the bedroom. Do not take glasses outside home either.
8- Please, LOCK the apartment door when there's nobody home.
9- SMOKING is only allowed outdoors in the laundry room. Please, close the door to avoid smoke getting inside the apartment.
10- Avoid having LIGHTS unnecessary turned on. We really appreciate if you open the blinders in the morning instead of turning the lights on. We have low consumption lamps in each room, we thank you for using these lamps instead of the main lights when it's possible. Please, also open the window a little bit for some ventilation.
11- Please make sure to flush the toilet and stop it when it's done by clicking a second time. Otherwise, it may keep leaking.
12- Enjoy your stay and enjoy our home just like if it would be your own.
Miguel and Gemma are very nice hosts, provide you with the needed information and respect your privacy. The room was as listed. The place was in the perfect location in a nice neighbourhood, 2-3 minutes to Alameda metro station and Turia park. And the old town was right across the bridge.
Highly recommended !
We arrived on the last day of las fallas and stayed in Valencia for 3 days. Miguel and Gemma are very friendly people and shared with us much information about living in Valencia. We had one of the rooms in their flat, which is very nicely designed with colours and function. The room is the same as in the pictures, and the bed is very comfortable. The flat is located in a quiet neighbourhood not far from the city centre (about 20 minutes' walk), and there are several nice restaurants nearby. It's a very comfortable place to stay in.
We had a good time at Gemma & Miguel. They were both really nice, and helped us a lot by explaining everything about Valencia. I do, however, dont think the appartment is right for hire a room. Our room was small, and full of stuff of their own. There was no space to unpack our suitcases. And there is no second bathroom. Further the appartment wasnt really clean. So the hosts were nice, but the appartment was a dissapointment.
Me and my boyfriend had a wonderful time in Valencia. Miguel and Gemma's apartment is very nice and clean. It is located very well, nearby a bus- and metrostop so you can get everywhere in a couple of minutes. Perfect stay for a citytrip!
Apartment is as described and location is good, a few minutes away from metro station. Miguel is a nice host, he provided us with map and gave us some usefull advices about Valencia.
Location: Great // big market close by, metro station which connects you to everywhere in 5 mins walk, two spain style cafes in the building, fruit market in the building, walking distance to colon street (shopping), the city center (tourist area) is also in walking distance (15-20 mins).. overall great
Hosts: Great // Miguel and Gemma helped us a lot, they answered all the questions we had :) told us some things to do for which we weren't aware of.. etc etc :)
Apartment/Room: Good/Average // We are not so satisfied from the cleanliness in the room (we've seen far better), there was dust in the room.. from time to time some smell is coming in the room from outside (you need to have the window open since it's no AC room).. the towels were washed (they smelled OK) but seemed old..
Over all good stay..
We are both host and guests. As so we consider cleanliness the most important issue on a accommodation so we take a long time to clean. The towels are pretty new and nice. I wish I could have ever found a cheaper, better, cleaner room on Airbnb as the one we offer. And we are also very patient with peculiar guests. But we highly recommend them to stay in a hotel (if they don't want to socialice and follow the rules which apparently didn't even read at all). And I also recommend to complain in person or cancel your booking if doesn't fit your expectations (I've done it in the past as guests) instead of spreading bad reviews based on inaccuracies.

About the Host, Miguel&Gemma
We started sharing our place with foreign people and we loved it. We used Airbnb for the first time as guests in our trip to NYC and it was a great experience.
