We are located in Northern Glendale, on the border of Burbank, walking distance to Trader Joe's/Ralph's, Starbucks, and a 20 minute walk to Downtown Burbank. Close to the 5 Freeway, 134, Atwater Village, Los Feliz, Glendale, Burbank, North Hollywood.
You have access to the Washer and Dryer, the kitchen and any advice you need to get around in LA
As much as you want to :) We do use the kitchen! And of course, watch some TV in the living room. We are happy to give you the space you need.
I love where we live because we are super close to the mountains and all the natural beauty of Los Angeles (practically walking distance to some amazing hikes-I'd be happy to show you), but we are still a 10-15 minute drive to Los Feliz, Silverlake, Hollywood, North Hollywood. It's a convenient location! We are also a 5 minute drive to downtown burbank, where there are ton of shops, movies, restaurants and bars!
Yes, there is a bus system two blocks away! :)
I an both pursuing careers in the entertainment industry both in front and behind the camera. My day job is also very creative. I own a photography/videography company and am constantly editing or shooting. I like to watch movies, travel, camp, eat healthy food, hike, train at the gym, and very adventurous.
Interaction with Guests
I interact with guests as much as you want me to. Sometimes, I am super busy on a job so you may not even see me. But if I'm home, I'll be around if you want me too.. share stories, give advice on where to go, whatever you need.
I love Burbank/Northern Glendale. We are close to some awesome hiking trails, but close enough to studios such as Disney, WB, NBC Universal, etc. As a matter of fact, a lot of the guests I have that stay long term, are interns at some of the studios. We are also a 5 minute drive or 20 minute walk to downtown burbank where there are tons of restaurants, 3 movie theaters, and the Burbank Town Center Mall. We are also super close to Los Feliz, Atwater Village, Echo Park, and Silverlake.
There is public transportation. There is a bus stop that is only 2 blocks away, however I would highly recommend renting a car in LA, or uber/lyft your way around if you plan on going sightseeing. LA is huge (75 miles) and we are only on one side of it.
Other Things to Note
I am pursuing a career in the entertainment industry(ie Actress, Documentary Filmmaker). My day job is also very creative. I own a photography/videography company and are constantly editing or shooting. I like to watch movies, travel, camp, eat healthy food, hike, train at the gym, and very adventurous.
No Smoking inside the house. We have a backyard and a front yard for that. We expect you to enjoy your stay!!! and have fun! That's what's important. But have a nice place to rest. Feel free to use the kitchen!
It was a smooth experience despite the fact Drea wasn't there! She arranged her friend to meet up with me and it was smooth sailing from there.
Drea was really nice and made me feel comfortable in her home. My room had a big closet and desk to work at which was helpful. The neighborhood was nice and close to Downtown Burbank and a quick drive to the Glendale Galleria, both of which you can find great food and shopping.
Drea was a wonderful host! Her nice, exquisitely located apartment was exactly as describe, only blocks away from Starbuck, Trader Joe's, and several other fine establishments. She waited up for us, even though our flight was late and our car rental took forever to get. I couldn't have been more pleased with this great two day stay!
When I first met Drea to get the run-down, she immediately made it a comfortable and laid-back experience, being my first AirBnB stay, and her personality made it seem as if I've known her for years. I felt welcome right away. Though Drea and I didn't interact much outside of messages, due to our busy schedules, she remained helpful throughout my whole stay, offering lots of recommendations that I took advantage of. The room was as-described and the location is excellent. Though I had a car for other plans, I was easily able to walk into downtown Burbank for some good restaurants and bars. I'd certainly recommend this place and would stay again, and you can't find a nicer host.
Our week in Los Angeles was amazing! We had a lot of fun with drea. She is one of the nicest and friendliest persons we've ever met. She recommended us many things to do and they were all great.
The room was comfortable and clean. Glendale ist really pretty and you feel save right from the start. Even if it takes long to reach many places of interest. But drea gave us the hint to get around with uber. So it was never a problem to get from A to B.
I would definitely recommend a stay at Drea's place and would love to come back!
Emails with Drea were friendly and positive. Unfortunately Drea was away all weekend so we never got to meet her in person. Her home was comfortable, clean, and inviting. She called several times to make sure all was OK. Everything involved in our stay said "Welcome."
Drea's place is a comfy cool spot. We felt right at home instantly! She is a warm and charismatic person, and made us feel at ease from the beginning.
She has a guide typed out in your room of how to get around and instructions for wifi, laundry etc... So if she isn't around your questions are already answered. Her place is super close to groceries and some great food so we found ourselves hanging out around the house a lot, and again I'll say we felt really welcomed and comfortable.
Drea & her partner are really awesome... We would definitely come back next time we are in town!!!!
I am an actress, documentary filmmaker and photographer. :) I love traveling and discovering the world. I am an avid hiker and adventurer! Some places I have hiked are Machu Picchu, Peru; Banaue Rice Terraces, and Mt Whitney (the highest mountain in the lower 48 states). I love being able to share my experiences with people and I can do that through the pictures and videos that I take.
I also love cooking and trying new foods! Maybe it's my filipino blood that makes me adventurous!
