We are located in Northern Glendale, on the border of Burbank, walking distance to Trader Joe's/Ralph's, Starbucks, and a 20 minute walk to Downtown Burbank. Close to the 5 Freeway, 134, Atwater Village, Los Feliz, Glendale, Burbank, North Hollywood.
You have access to the Washer and Dryer, the kitchen and any advice you need to get around in LA
As much as you want to :) We do use the kitchen! And of course, watch some TV in the living room. We are happy to give you the space you need.
I love where we live because we are super close to the mountains and all the natural beauty of Los Angeles (practically walking distance to some amazing hikes-I'd be happy to show you), but we are still a 10-15 minute drive to Los Feliz, Silverlake, Hollywood, North Hollywood. It's a convenient location! We are also a 5 minute drive to downtown burbank, where there are ton of shops, movies, restaurants and bars!
Yes, there is a bus system two blocks away! :)
I an both pursuing careers in the entertainment industry both in front and behind the camera. My day job is also very creative. I own a photography/videography company and am constantly editing or shooting. I like to watch movies, travel, camp, eat healthy food, hike, train at the gym, and very adventurous.
Interaction with Guests
I interact with guests as much as you want me to. Sometimes, I am super busy on a job so you may not even see me. But if I'm home, I'll be around if you want me too.. share stories, give advice on where to go, whatever you need.
I love Burbank/Northern Glendale. We are close to some awesome hiking trails, but close enough to studios such as Disney, WB, NBC Universal, etc. As a matter of fact, a lot of the guests I have that stay long term, are interns at some of the studios. We are also a 5 minute drive or 20 minute walk to downtown burbank where there are tons of restaurants, 3 movie theaters, and the Burbank Town Center Mall. We are also super close to Los Feliz, Atwater Village, Echo Park, and Silverlake.
There is public transportation. There is a bus stop that is only 2 blocks away, however I would highly recommend renting a car in LA, or uber/lyft your way around if you plan on going sightseeing. LA is huge (75 miles) and we are only on one side of it.
Other Things to Note
I am pursuing a career in the entertainment industry(ie Actress, Documentary Filmmaker). My day job is also very creative. I own a photography/videography company and are constantly editing or shooting. I like to watch movies, travel, camp, eat healthy food, hike, train at the gym, and very adventurous.
No Smoking inside the house. We have a backyard and a front yard for that. We expect you to enjoy your stay!!! and have fun! That's what's important. But have a nice place to rest. Feel free to use the kitchen!
Drea was lovely - super communicative, informative and pleasant. The location is great, a quick walk to stores, Starbucks and downtown Burbank. Safe, quiet stay in clean digs. And you can't beat the price! Highly recommend.
Drea was the most personable and friendly host I have dealt with from AirBNB so far! I would definitely recommend staying at her place when in the area. She was more than happy to give my wife and I tips and suggestions for our stay and even offered us dinner when we arrived.
Thanks again Drea! We hope to see you again!
I had a great stay at Drea's house and felt very comfortable. She gave me everything I needed to have a very enjoyable stay and I really enjoyed interacting with her and her boyfriend.
Super time! 2nd visit with the gracious Drea...room was clean, neighborhood cool and Drea is the best host!
Drea was a great hostess! She was very helpful with tips about the area and was very warm, friendly and welcoming. The room was as advertised with the added benefit of the house next door being very close. This kept the sun out a majority of the time and made it great for sleeping. Drea's place was close to EVERYTHING: grocery and drug stores shopping, etc. Two major hangups: 1) The house was built in the 20's, hot water pressure was barely enough to get a good shower in and 2) parking can be at a premium, especially if you go out at night. Wednesdays and Thursdays are opposite side parking and that's a hassle. Sometimes you have to park as much as a block away. Aside from those things, I would enthusiastically recommend Drea's place to all members and I will stay with her again next trip in!
Dreas place was in a nice neighbourhood, relatively close to most places to be in LA. Everything was simple but fine for the price. Unfortunaltely I didn't met Drea personally.
Drea was a great host, and although we didn't see her much as she was working, she was super informative and fun to chat with. And she gave us a bunch of tips on using Uber which was very helpful to use while we were in the area.
I am an actress, documentary filmmaker and photographer. :) I love traveling and discovering the world. I am an avid hiker and adventurer! Some places I have hiked are Machu Picchu, Peru; Banaue Rice Terraces, and Mt Whitney (the highest mountain in the lower 48 states). I love being able to share my experiences with people and I can do that through the pictures and videos that I take.
I also love cooking and trying new foods! Maybe it's my filipino blood that makes me adventurous!
