Centrally located in the heart of Washington Ave. You're within walking distance to all the major restaurants, bars, stadiums, convention centers, and more! The apartment is a 1 bedroom loft with a massive living area and full kitchen.
Marshall's place was nice and perfect for our purpose. The only problem was that we couldn't check in until 3:00. We asked if we could get in sooner because we had plans but he wasn't able to accommodate. To be fair though, the check in time was posted on the listing.
Place was convenient. Good place for drinks and food. Marshall was responsive and informative.
Marshall's loft apartment has the perfect location! Near many good eateries, and doable walks to Union Station, the Arch and Scottrade Center. The street below is a bit noisy at night, but nothing ear plugs can't ease. Comfortable bed(s) - even the inflatable mattress, which was easy to assemble. A trendy neighborhood! The apartment lacks a table and chairs, so eating in must take place around the coffee table . . . but why eat in when there are so many good restaurants nearby? Marshall was quick to respond to my many texts and very accommodating. His place has a college coed feel . . . simply furnished yet efficient.
The place was exactly as described and Marshall was very responsive. I was right in the heart of downtown, walking distance from the convention center where I was attending a conference. Others in my group were staying further south in a chain hotel, and they were all envious of the loft. Washer and dryer is a complete bonus for those longer stays, and the food in the surrounding area was amazing. There is a small deli right around the corner run by a personable family, Blood and Sand (upscale, members only type place) is a short walk and well worth it, and Rooster Crepery is also very close.
The building is surrounded by wonderful architecture and perfect views at sunset.
My suggestion for visitors: Skip mass transit, and download the St. Louis Taxi app from the local County Cab Company. Excellent service, and VERY cheap rates to get around. The entertainment at Shaved Duck made for a perfect night, so try to check them out if you get a chance (if you're into that).
Also, Marshall's place is downtown. So if you're looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life, this may not be the right place. While you aren't directly on the main drag, you do get to enjoy some of the revelry on Friday, but the neighborhood goes completely quiet shortly after last call. (It may have been busier due to the conference, but the bed is far enough from the window that it really wasn't an issue). I enjoyed my stay tremendously, and would definitely stay again if I return to the area.
No matter what your trip consist of while staying in St. Louis, Marshall's place is sure to please. There are many restaurants on the main street of Washington Ave. that is just a short walk around the corner, it's full of vivid night life on the weekends. It can be a bit noisy when sleeping but, it all shortly disappears after 2am. The paid parking lots are very close as well with reasonable prices that won't empty your wallets. There is a park right across the street and The City Museum is a must see if you bring your kids which again is only a short walk away!
Marshall has his place all set up for even a nice night in, a beautiful kitchen with everything you need to make a great meal and all the entertainment for watching a movie after.
Even though we never met Marshall his communication via Email, or Text was seamless and always responded when we had questions or any concerns, which in my opinion is the way business always should be and because, of that he made my trip very pleasant.
Awesome place. Very clean and simple. Location is perfect, central to the bar/restaurant district of downtown STL. I believe the picture on the listing is of the correct apartment, but none of the furniture is the same. It was a true studio loft separated by a kitchen all in the middle. In the back there was a full size bed and in the front a small couch, desk, and air mattress. We slept 3 comfortably, and could get 4 in with the right group, but 2-3 is probably realistic. Awesome gaming setup...nice TV and every new game system. Cool place.
Marshall was very responsive! Place is great - perfect for a weekend getaway in the city and so close to City Museum!!
