It was a great time in Debra's place. It is very central located and one of my favorite places in Venice on Campo St. Margherita. Not too touristic, with a lot of good locations for food, bars, supermarket, ATM and a small vegetables and fish market. My favorite Pizza Corner is also right there. The room is very bright and with a view on canal. That gives you a very unique feeling. I felt like I sleep on the Yacht. You can hear the water purling in the night. It is so clean in the room you could eat from the floor. Debra was also very kind and helpful, the Person with a positive energizing Charisma. Thank you very much, Debra! I hope I can come again and again.
The room is big, bright and faces a canal, so the view from the window is very beautiful. Room and bathroom were both comfy and really clean. The neighborhood is fantastic: alive, original, with lots of pubs and restaurants and outside of the touristy routes. I didn't even use any vaporetto (apart from Murano), everything could be done easily by feet. Debra not only gave me nice tips of places to go, but also gave extremely precise steps to reach her house, which was important, once it's really easy to get lost in Venice (specially if you arrive by night like I did). Debra also got me some tea and hot water during my stay :)
Staying at Debra's was wonderful. I booked at rather short notice, but she was very accommodating and was quick to respond to my messages, providing clear instructions with maps of how to find the apartment in advance, and advice on where to leave my luggage during the day. The room was clean, spacious and comfortable, and exactly how it appears in the photos. Great location, close to the Campo with lots of fun bars and restaurants on your doorstep, but at a distance so not to be disturbed by evening noise. Dorsoduro in general is a great neighbourhood, a world away from the more touristy parts of the city. Debra was a generous and thoughtful host, and gave me lots of tips on sights to see in the city, and where to go for food, especially as I was traveling alone. She even provided me with a thermos of hot water for morning tea. I would definitely stay with Debra again, and recommend her to anyone looking for a distinctive Venetian trip.
I had sent a message only the day of my arrival and received a reply within the hour. Thanks to Debra's reactivity and flexibility i had a wonderful place to stay the same evening. The room is spacious and comfortable, so is the bathroom.
Location is also great, very close to the bus and train station and next to Campo with some great places to eat and have coffee or late night drink (to Venetian standards).
In case you plan to sleep in, maybe it is good to know that because the room is located next to a narrow canal and boats start moving early, the place can be noisy already in the morning.
Great stay, welcoming though discrete host!
Debra's place was simply incredible and cannot be beat! Room is very large, lots of light and, most importantly, looks out directly onto a beautiful canal! Very clean, great accommodation. Debra was very helpful with suggestions on things to do, especially places to eat! Location is amazing too... it was my favorite location in Venice. Highly recommend!
This was a great airbnb experience. The room is wonderful --classy, comfortable, clean, and private, with a private bathroom. Debra is a considerate host who wants her guests to relish Venice -- I very much appreciated her spot-on dining recommendations and her concern for my comfort. Plus the neighborhood is lovely and fascinating. I would eagerly stay here again.
The room is very clean and the room is accurate like the description. The room is facing a river, so in the morning, you have the inevitable noise from some boats passing by. It was not an issue for me. I had some brief conversation with Debra, she was very friendly and helpful. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay.
Had a perfect time in Venice. Deborah's apartment is just as she says it, in a great location, warm and welcoming! Thank you Deborah!
Debra has been really nice and helpful. The room and bathroom are both pretty and hyper clean.
Debra was such a gracious host! She went out of her way to make sure all of my needs were met. The location of her home is ideal, within walking distance of all of the must see sites of Venice. If I am able to return to venice I would hope to stay at Debra's again!
