Getting around Vancouver is easy. We are located just minutes from a bus stop that can take you downtown or wherever else you wish to go!
Have a great time and enjoy Vancouver! Please as you do so, respect our home and our other guests.
-We ask that you keep reasonably quiet after 10:30 PM on weekdays so that everyone can get their beauty sleep :) During the day we also ask that you keep your music, voice, etc to normal noise levels so as not to disturb others
-The cleaning fee is to clean up after you leave and wash the linens, but during your stay you are responsible to keep your space tidy and your linens clean if you have a longer stay. We also appreciate if you do not leave a big mess for us to clean up when you leave.
-We recycle nearly everything, and we can show you where the recycling space is - we have separate bins for paper, hard plastics, cans and glass, soft plastics, tin foil and styrofoam. Please use these bins!
- Please clean up after yourself when you use the kitchen and cook. Wash your dishes and put them away immediately and wipe down the table and counter tops so that our family and the other guests can also have a clean place to cook and eat our meals.
Great little room super close to downtown Vancouver! Perfect for two people, clean and Andrea was very nice and accommodating.
Great house close to a bus stop!
Our stay: 7 nights
Our group: 2 adults (sisters)
Cons: It's quite far from downtown Vancouver and you must take a bus into the city so consider the cost of bus tickets. The bus that brings us home also goes through the poorer areas of Vancouver so it's not unlikely that you'll share a ride with people you may not be comfortable with. This didn't bother me much but my sister had her concerns. This is a very old house so you can hear and smell everything. There is only one bathroom in the house so plan your showers accordingly. The room can get quite hot because it's facing towards the setting sun. There is no net to cover the windows with so bugs get in if you leave it open.
Pros: The house is very close to the bus stop, a 7/11, a bunch of Chinese restaurants, and also a great area of restaurants. You're surrounded by beautiful and unique houses so a stroll through the streets is very fun. The beds, pillows, and blankets were very comfortable. Even though there is no AC, Andrea provides a fan in the room for us to use. Andrea is a fantastic host and is very understanding. We were given an empty shelf and a mini-fridge for our own use! Thaylee the cat is very friendly and keeps to himself if you don't want to be bothered.
After arriving at the location, I met the hosts and they were very friendly and welcoming, we exchanged brief small talk before going over the house rules and settling into my room.
The room was much better than expected, though the pictures show it in good light, it's a perfect size for one person that enjoys a little extra space in their room and has a choice of bed to sleep on.
Floorboards were a little creaky, but after a day or two you realise which area's will be louder for stepping on and which will be quieter. There's a small desk chair and talk that make an ideal room office space, a slightly larger table for paperwork and a wardrobe space, complete with hangers, for storing clothes.
Next time I stay abroad I will definitely be using this as the benchmark for a room at airbnb, it had everything. Location was easy to reach downtown with a number of buses just a short walk away, and a comfortable walk to the grocery store and a handful of restaurants and mini fruit markets. Could not recommend highly enough.
I feel good in their house. They are cool. If I have another opportunity, I will like to go and say I to them. The house is clean and quite.
My friend and I had a wonderful time staying here while in Vancouver! The hosts were kind and accommodating, and the home was clean and comfortable. The price was incredibly reasonable, and the neighborhood around the home is just lovely! I highly recommend this home!
I really enjoyed my stay in Vancouver. The room was nice and clean. Paula gave me perfect instructions on how to reach the place with public transit. It is a nice and quiet place, and downtown Vancouver can be reached easily by bus in about 15-20 minutes. So great place to stay!
