This is a house of simplistic charm in a perfect location. Just around the corner from the main street in Milltown Malby, where there are pubs, restaurants, and shops. In late May, there were hardly no tourists. Spanish Point beach is just outside of town. The Cliffs of Moher are very close. Be sure to have Mary tell you about the alternative parking area, which is less crowded and cheaper. Mary welcomed us with fresh bread, jam, and tea. She gave many helpful tips on the area. The house itself is large. It has a fantastic view from the back windows of sheep, horses, the church tower and the Cliffs of Moher in the distance. It is fairly rustic so people looking for luxury may find it too basic. (No wifi, some spider friends, antique furniture). However, for most, including us, it's worth it to stay in a historic Irish house with a great location! Thanks for a great stay, Mary!

Mary picked me up at the bus stop and brought me to the house. She made tea and offered brown bread while we chatted. She gave a thorough tour of the house and helped me think through my travel for the weekend. She also helped coordinate a taxi for me back to the airport when my own phone would not work. A great host and home!

Mary greeted us with tea and bread. We had a lovely visit. The place was roomy and a great location.

We stayed in Mary's traditional cottage for four days, five nights. It has been in Mary's family since the 1880s. Mary graciously greeted us on arrival with a fire in the stove and the tea kettle on. The cottage is as described and just a couple minutes walk from Milltown Malbay's main street, which has quite a large number of restaurants/pubs for a small community. Nearby are the Cliffs of Moher, The Wild Atlantic Way, and the fascinating Burren region. This would be a good choice if you are looking for a real traditional west coast cottage.

Mary and her house were great ! Mary met us at the house, showed us around and made us feel very welcome with bread, jam and tea upon our arrival. Can't wait to come back again next time we are in Ireland.

Mary was friendly and accommodating. She greeted us when we arrived with tea and went over any intricacies of the house. The house was in walking distance to town. It was comfortable and meet all of our needs. I would recommend Mary and the house to any traveler.

Mary's house is wonderful, exactly as described and beautiful in its simplicity. We enjoyed a nice tea with her to check in, and communication was easy as we all as scheduling the check in. The house has everything you need for cooking your own meals and is easy walking distance from many restaurants and pubs. We also enjoyed an evening walk out to Spanish Point via the country roads. Thanks to Mary for a wonderful stay!
