First off, Donna was absolutely fantastic in every way. Although we did not get the chance to meet, I felt as though we were friends by the end of our stay based on texts and emails. She checked on us several times to ensure we had everything we needed. Lastly, the apartment was everything as advertised. Everything you could possibly need. Donna... Thank you for allowing us to stay. It was perfect.
Donna was great to work with and answered all of my questions immediately. The place is better than advertised. This was our first stay using airbnb and we could not be happier with our experience.
Our family of three plus our dog stayed at Donna's for 16 days. We had a wonderful experience! Her apartment was spacious enough for our 2 year old to run and play. It was clean and very well equipped! It had all of the amenities that a family could ask for! Washer and dryer, dishwasher, full size refrigerator, oven, toaster, you name it, she had it! It was private too. She had a separate door leading to the basement apartment. Donna always answered immediately if we had a question or concern. I would definitely recommend this apartment if you are planning on being in the Birmingham area.
Our experience was nearly perfect. We were in town for the SEC baseball tournament and the location afforded very quick, easy access to the stadium. The apartment was clean and as well (or better) stocked than you might expect. We prepared light meals, and had everything we needed. It's spacious and roomy. A previous guest noted the lack of natural light and that's true, but it also meant we slept very soundly. The hostess is gracious and the home is beautiful. Our only problem was lack of wifi. Donna came down and helped us get access on all our devices (phones and iPads) but even so, the access was spotty. I'm sure she would have continued to help but we were reluctant to continue to ask, so that's on us. Overall, a great choice and we would definitely stay again.
First & foremost, Donna strives & succeeds in offering a home that exudes hospitality. The apt was clean & offered more than enough amenities. The outside grounds, stream & secluded paths did wonders for both head & heart. I can't stress enough that if you're in the area, book her & disregard any notion otherwise.
Donna's apartment was great for our needs - she was helpful and accessible when needed and the place was very clean and cozy. The neighborhood was very nice - ultimately a great place to get away!
We had an amazing stay at Donna's! Unfortunately, she was not there for us to meet, but she made it incredibly easy to settle in, and even from afar, helped us to feel welcome. The apartment is super cozy, and the back yard itself is a vacation destination! We spent hours relaxing in the back by the flowing stream, where the sounds of nature are the only things to be heard besides the occasional reminder that there are actually neighbors nearby. A very nice place to get away and relax.
