  • A great place filled with friendly and interesting people. Laid-back atmosphere, nice garden, nice location, great hosts, and (killer feature) two lovely dogs... highly recommended.

  • This is my second stay at Chez JJ, and I will definitely be staying there next time too. I prefer it over a hotel, as you get to hang out with fun and intelligent people.

  • Great hacker house with great people. A no-brainer if you're interested in startups and staying in Mountain View

    May 2012
  • Great place to stay if you're a start-up, working at one (or want to). I was well above the average age, but I thoroughly enjoyed the company of like-minded souls and the opportunity for lively interaction with the many people coming and going; either staying or visiting. Jade and her co-hosts Alicia and Jocelyn are very helpful and welcoming. I'd stay again.

  • This is the perfect place for anyone interested or involved in startups. If you're new to the area then staying here is a great base. Everyone is super friendly and helpful.

  • Great location, great place, great atmosphere and above all great hosts.
If you're in Mountain View for hackery-jiggery, then Chez-JJ is the only place to stay-stay.

  • Although we did not come to Mountain View to work on a startup, it was extremely inspiring to be surrounded by a house full of hackers and thinkers. Even when exhausted after a full day of being at a conference, it was great to overhear all the conversations!

The place itself was clean and spacious, with plenty of room to sit down with your laptop. We will miss Coco's ridiculous grin. Thanks for your hospitality Jade!

  • Another amazing stay in Jade's entrepreneurs' house. The place is great and has all the facilities, moreover, the guests are all nice, interesting and promising startup people, with different concepts and different stages of a company life-cycle. And above all, Jade spends late hours to share with all of us from her wisdom and experience, and its a great help.
    Well done, Jade!
I can't wait for my next visit...

  • I had the pleasure of trying out 3 different rooms in Chez JJ last week, mainly because the place is full and busy (which is how it should be, right?) and so I needed to change rooms a few times.
Jade and Jocelyn made it really easy for me, I was able to leave my stuff in the prior night's room until whenever.... No problem, clean sheets and good company every night so it was all good.

  • A great apartment, reasonably located, with friendly and amicable hosts.

Clean rooms, fresh oranges, limes, and avocados in the backyard, free breakfasts, and two absolutely incredible hosts. What more could you possibly ask for? How about a 100% success rate (to date) for YC applicants? Oh, yeah, that's also included. So much fun!

About
I'm from Tennessee originally, but I've travelled a bit. I'm was an electrical engineer and operations research engineer for Toyota prior to getting back into programming and starting a company. I have a two-year old golden retriever that is adorable. I love eating different and unique foods from many countries. Any questions, feel free to ask away :D
