Peace and quiet

Spend some time on a historic farm in Southern Vermont. Visit with pigs and chickens, walk around on country roads, take a dip in swimming holes, wildlife abounds!

Super-relaxing setting in beautiful Mother Nature and well-equipped accommodations with everything you need.

The self-contained little studio has a separate entrance. Full kitchen and bath, queen bed plus a roll-out twin. Excellent heater.

The space
You have a full kitchen (gas cook stove, dorm fridge, microwave, Keurig, sink) with butcher block countertops. Pots and pans, dishes, cutlery provided.

Full bath with tub, shower, sink and toilet. Towels and washcloths provided, plus a heated towel bar, oh la la!

Whole apartment has hygienic cork floors. It's very cute and comfortable.

TV with VCR built-in and several VHS tapes. No cable.

Guest access
You can visit the garden and chickens and pigs and walk around the area. I recommend skipping the woods due to bear activity. There are lots of great dirt roads to walk on nearby and a big pond for summer swimming just down Grout Road.

Other things to note
*Please try to arrive before nightfall* I live on a narrow dirt road and it can be a bit intimidating to drive up in the dark for the first time!

Also, there is a lot of black bear activity in the area. Don't leave food outside or in your car.

Neighborhood highlights

I live in the country. My home is on two miles of dirt road (no street lights) from the nearest paved road. There are animals such as deer, bears, coyotes, snakes, mice, snapping turtles and insects all around this beautiful and unique property. You are likely to see mice in your guest room if you leave food out. I’m about ten minutes from Newfane village center, about 30 minutes from Brattleboro.
