About This Listing
Charming flat, 50 m2, 1 bedroom, 1 big livingroom, big, newly renovated kitchen, good bathroom. Located in Vesterbro, a charming, lively neighbourhood
My charming flat is located in a very quiet street within 3 minutes walking distance to where all the fun and shopping is going on. It's in a classic, old redbrick building from the 1930'es. The street is wide and green (during summer) and allows lots of light into the living room of the flat which has lovely high ceilings and wooden floors.
Vesterbro is the place to be. It's a very lively neighbourhood with all the cafés, restaurants, and cool shops you can ask for. You'll also find a big shopping mall and cinemas in the area.
In the streets you'll see loads of different people; by bike, car, walking, skating or just hanging around at the cafés and during spring and summer in the streets and squares of Vesterbro. The discipline "people watching" is definitely worth a try here! The area of the world famous brewery Carlsberg is within 2 minutes walk from the flat - and even though no beer is made here anymore, it's worth a visit with dancing performances, exhibitions, action packed go-cart racing and tree climbing, café - and of course the Carlsberg museum. You could easily spend an entire day or more in the Carlsberg-area. Next to this area you have the big park/green area called Søndermarken. Grass, trees and bushes all over. This is where you go for a break from the city bustle and hustle. People go for running and exercise, sunbathing, picnics, strolls, dog walking etc. You also find a very interesting museum called The Cisterns, a long forgotten subterranean reservoir. For lunch you can have the traditional Danish "smørrebrød" in a cosy restaurant.
For grocery shopping you'll find several good super markets close to the flat as well.
Enghave station 2 min. walk away. From here two stops to central station. Bus to city centre also available from here.
From the airport:
You have two choices: take the metro to the city centre (Nørreport station) and change to the S-train and the fourth stop is mine. Or you take a regular train to the central station (København H) and change to the S-train, the second stop is mine.
Other Things to Note
Youll find two duvets and two pillows and I provide two sets of bed linen. If you are three people staying here, youll need to bring one sleeping bag. Of course I provide you towels as well.
Parking in the street - there is an hourly fee during all week except on Sundays.
Cleaning: I dont charge any cleaning fee but expect you to do a light cleaning (vacuum cleaning and cleaning of bathroom) at the end of your stay.
Please ask me any question you might have about your stay in cph - I'll do my best to find info and answers for you!
Whenever possible I'll be there when you arrive to show you the flat and answer your questions. If I cant be there we'll find another solution for handing over keys.
It's a place with many kids and families, so loud music and parties are not permitted. No smoking in the flat - you'll have to go the street. Apart from this I want you to feel like home and treat my flat well:)
Maja is a brilliant host. The apartment was lovely and corresponds perfectly with the provided pictures (even larger than the pictures suggest!). The apartments location in Vesterbro was great and is in close proximity to both train and bus which enables easy traversing of the city.
Overall we enjoyed our stay immensely. I would highly recommend Maja and her apartment to anyone visiting Copenhagen.
Maja is a really great host. She made sure the arrival went smoothly and provided us with everything we needed for the stay. The flat was spotlessly clean, cozy and comfortable. It is located in a quiet area of Copenhagen but is close to the center so it is possible to walk to town.
We can only recommend to stay at Maja's place!!
Maja's apartment was really great. Perfect amount of room for the three of us. It was really close to a train station - only two stops away from central station. Maja also gave us a map with restaurants and sights to see. Definitely recommend her place!
Maja kindly posted the keys to her place before we stayed, which made life a lot easier. She was an excellent host and communicated speedily, whatever time of the day. Her place has lots of Danish character and was a brilliant base from which to explore the cool city of Copenhagen; I would definitely recommend it. Her place was immaculately clean with all home comforts. She left us a map and clear instructions for how to get around - thanks so much for making our stay a memorable one.
We have been in Copenhagen for a few days and really had a great time. Maja's flat is tidy, clean and comfortable. I especially liked the interior and modern scandinavian style and am now very inspired to re-decorate my own flat ;-)
The apartment is very well located, two minutes walk to the train station, where also buses are going. You can also take a walk through trendy Vesterbro with lots of shops and cafés. By the way, we fully recommend the café/restaurants Maja marked on the city map she left for us.
About the Host, Maja
I'm a 32-year-old woman living at Vesterbro in Copenhagen. I'm a journalist and working as web editor in a house and gardening magazine. When I'm not working I'm spending time with family and friends, going out for drinks, beers, eating, watching films, exhibitions and all the good cultural stuff Copenhagen has to offer. Or just going for a walk in the park near by my flat. I bought the flat in October 2013, renovated the kitchen completely and still decorating walls and so on. I really feel, I made it my own place now and I think I live in the best part of Copenhagen:)
