About This Listing
This Casita stands alone behind the main house and offers complete privacy with a fully equipped kitchenette, a full bath, a separate bedroom, hardwood floors and the charm of its unique locale and history.
Our casita is in it's own private world - away from all the traffic and noise of the world and yet blocks from some of Albuquerque's best offerings.
Guests have access to a spacious back yard with chairs, umbrella, picnic table and fire pit.
We will be available as much or as little as the guest(s) prefers. We love to interact and help our guests have the best time possible here in ABQ.
We are close to everything - Old Town, Downtown, museums, Tiguex Park, coffee shops and restaurants. This is a wonderful neighborhood.
We have a wonderful back yard space with outdoor patio, table, and umbrella.
Interaction with Guests
We are here most of the time and love to meet the guests, but we also respect privacy and the desire for a guest to be on their own. Just let us know how we can best support you during your stay!
The neighborhood is a family-place, with two delicious restaurants, a coffee house, and a tea house within a block or two of the Casita. We are also within walking distance to a wonderful park, three of Albuquerque's best museums, Old Town and a wonderful neighborhood grocery store. You'll love this area!
We are close to public transportation, but Albuquerque in general is a place that needs a car, unless you are just here to relax. If you don't want to sight-see much, you can easily walk to several restaurants, three museums, a beautiful park and Old Town. There is also a bicycle rental shop nearby that delivers and picks up.
We are a no-smoking environment and we don't have pets on the premises, honoring those guests who might have allergies. We are in a neighborhood, so respecting normal "quiet" hours is much appreciated. Check in is 3 PM and check out is 11, unless prior arrangements are made.
Clear, concise instructions from hosts about arrival, parking, and entry made it easy to access casita while hosts were away. Later, I did have the pleasure of meeting Kirk briefly. The neighborhood is just east of Old Town, a half block from two awesome eateries and a few short blocks to the heart of Old Town and museum district. The casita is vey clean and welcoming; snacks, tea, coffee, bottled water very much appreciated! The patio area is totally delightful. Couldn't believe how awesome it was to have Kirk come out and turn on a patio reading light, along with the unique combo fire pit/fountain! Yes, I said combo! It's a creation of Kirk's, I gather, and there's fire AND bubbling water in one pit! Very cool (or actually warm, as it's heat took the chill off the evening!) along with the soothing sound of the fountain. We will definitely be back!
Great place to stay! Communication from Shelley and Kirk was excellent. They provided everything we needed for a smooth arrival and stay. The casita is lovely and the access to Old Town is absolutely brilliant. A short walk down the street and through a beautiful park and you're in the heart of old ABQ. Recommendations from Shelley and Kirk were spot-on for food and sights. Very nice small touches made our stay comfortable and convenient. Wish we could have stayed longer! This is a fantastic option for a private and comfortable stay in ABQ. We'll be back!
We had such a wonderful time in Albuquerque. The casita was in a great location so we could walk or take a short drive to get to every place we wanted to go. Kirk gave an orientation tour of the casita and the courtyard. There were also brochures inside to help us find things to do. We appreciated having a private place with a little kitchen to ourselves. Thank you both for the getaway.
This casita was awesome. Everything looked like the images posted. Very clean and cute. The host recommendations were fantastic and in walking distance.
Shelley was very responsive and great at communicating. She provided explicit direction/info and the place was perfect.
Great location & great little casita. We had a terrific stay in a very clean, very comfortable room. Close to the Old Town area and plenty of restaurants & shopping. After dinner we returned to the cozy patio to relax before turning in. We ran in to Kirk the next morning and had a quick chat to get to know each other a little more. Will definitely use their stay if we get back to Albuquerque.
Our first time using air bnb and it was wonderful! Enjoyed our short stay in the casita - perfect after a long drive. Shelley provided lots of info on eateries and things to do - would highly recommend! Thanks :)
