This is a very large three bedroom located in the heart of Lakeview/Wrigleyville. It is completely and beautifully furnished with all utilities set up and included in the rent: heat and air, cable, wireless high speed internet, electric, gas and water. The kitchen is fully stocked and we supply plenty of bath towels, two sets of linens for the king and 2 queen beds, 37" flat screen tv, dvd player, stereo, iron, vacuum, etc…
You will love this neighborhood. This building is walking distance to everything Chicago has to offer - Lake Michigan and its beaches, restaurants and bars, grocery store, movie theatre, Wrigley field, fun shopping, great night life and the el train are just a few blocks away.
This four flat building offers a private gated back yard with patio furniture and a gas grill. A perfect way to spend the day / evening when the weather is nice.
We look forward to your reservation!!
This place was a very overpriced dump. It was dirty. It was in a terrible state of disrepair. None of the windows would close. There were piles of debris inside the windows from what looked like dry rot. Plastic Glad Wrap was taped to the bottom. There were nests of extension cords. The stove had four burners but only one knob (which I guess you moved from stem to stem). The towels were as thin as kleenex. I emailed about a parking pass for the street and never heard back (my son who lives nearby gave me ones and saved me from tickets). I have stayed at other places in the area that were vastly superior, and much less expensive. The pictures on the website were extremely misleading
On a positive note, It is near Wrigley Field. The booking was easy an the beds were comfortable.
It needs a deep cleaning, a lot of fixing up, and a much lower price. There are a lot of better (and less expensive) options out there. This was my first airbnb experience, and probably my last.

4 of us stayed at JoAnne's apartment for one night. She was very flexible as to check in time and were able to drop off luggage and grab keys before we headed to downtown Chicago for some sight seeing excursions. We would definitely consider this apartment for future visits to the city. The mattresses were very comfortable. Wrigley field is just steps away from this apartment, along with many restaurants and bars. Access to the red line is also convenient.
We had a very enjoyable family stay in the flat. It is spacious, beautifully decorated and very conveniently situated near the Addison metro stop. There is also the fantastic 'salt 'n pepper' dinner round the corner on Clark for breakfast.
There was an initial issue with the flat not being ready when we arrived mid-afternoon but JoAnn was great at getting everything sorted out quickly. Would use again if we're lucky enough to go back to Chicago.
We stayed at JoAnne's apartment 3 nights, and the overall experience is great. The apartment is especially good for the location and neighborhood, it is very spacious, beds are comfortable, bedrooms are quiet (except the bedroom near the street).
But it could have been better without these small troubles:
- not enough toilet paper
- some improvements should be made, especially the windows (there are some plastic film protections)
- no heating the last night (it was 30F outside...)
Some additional information not found in the apartment description:
- there is a private garage which is great. 20$ per night
- the apartment is the 3rd floor, there is no elevator
JoAnne was available and almost answered to all our inquiries.
I also consider the price attractive.
I stayed in JoAnne's apartment for 6 days during Spring break with my five friends. We all loved the apartment. The apartment has three bedrooms, with two queen-size beds and one king-size. Together with the big couch in the living room, the apartment can easily fit 6+ people. The apartment is huge and well-decorated. It has everything extra that we need - kitchen, shampoo & body wash, bath towels and laundry machine.
JoAnne is very friendly and helpful. She was always there for us. Whenever we messaged her during our stay, she replied very soon (within one hour).
The apartment has a great location. The red-line metro station Addison is about five minutes walk from the apartment. Within five-minute walk, there is also a McDonald's, 7-Eleven, Dunkin' Donuts. Almost next door to the apartment, there is a Hertz Rental Car. We rent a car there. It's super convenient.
Definitely recommend this place!
Nice apartment, convenient location,. The process for getting access to the keys was simple and convenient. Check in and out times were very flexible. My only complaints are that there was no toilet paper when we arrived and the kitchen had only one wine glass.
I would have given 1star but the apt itself was actually quite nice.
Not going to go into too much detail. The second I arrived I noticed the toilet was broken and began to overflow everywhere. No plunger. Used all the towels I could find. After numerous messages via voicemail/text/airbnb messaging, the only response I received was "who is this?". I had 5 guests and no toilet the entire first night and morning. Finally I was contacted and the problem fixed around noon. Will never stay at any of these properties again.
Great location, close to the L train! Came in to town to see Phantom of the Opera, easy to get down to theater location. This is the second time I've stayed here and would do so again!
