About this listing

Our farmhouse is glad to give you hospitality in the Leccio apartment, it is indipendent and there's space for a couple and a third person.

You will discover our organic food production and our natural lifestyle.

The space

An organic, family-run agriturismo enterprise set in the peaceful hillsides amongst olive groves, vineyards and woodlands, overlooking the nearby Tuscany, at an altitude of 480 metres. The stone farmhouse, restored using bioedilizia (ecological construction) concepts, close to the wood, is made up of the main home and of the apartments for rent, each of these consists of: kitchen, bedroom and bathroom.

Guest access

The outside area is equipped with tables in the shade of the trees, deck chairs, barbecue and wood burning oven.
The apartment is indipendent and complete. All the farm is a garden and you can walk around if you are interest.
You can ask us if you like to have a grill or some more garden forniture.

Interaction with guests

We live and work in the farm, you can come to talk during the day. There's always someone in farm for the emergency and we have maps and touristic information to give you.

Other things to note

We installed satellite Internet in addition to traditional line, for never have the interruption of connection.

Often we can organise courses (with advance agreement) on our companys premises, of restoration woodwork, bee-keeping, bread-making with sour dough in wood burning oven, Italian language for the children basic courses in ceramics.
Nearby horseback riding, hippotherapy and horseback riding. To not change the balance of our animals, cats dogs chickens lambs sheep and bees, we do not accept other animals.
We live by agriculture and sometimes there are long days and tiring, so it is difficult to agree in advance a pasta course, especially when guests stay with us for just two nights. This is why we always offer to those interested, to agree on arrival on our farm and not to take it personally if we decline.

Francesco and Luisa's home is truly one of a kind. Without a car, you can peruse the vineyards and olive trees, see the sheeps and chickens, or walk into town. The cheesecake that we had during the pasta class was the best of my life and I really hope to return one day.

If you're looking for a genuine, working farm, Italian style, this is the real deal. Secluded, quiet, and rustic. Francesco and Luisa are gracious hosts and I suspect if I could speak better Italian, we could talk for hours swapping stories about farming life. Our last evening was spent enjoying good food and wine and learning about each other's lives. One warning, bring insect repellent. We were there in the summer and, being a farm, there are bugs that like to bite/sting.

Response from Francesco:
Thanks for good review :) With regard to insects, it depends very much on individual sensitivity .... The scarcity of water and the altitude of 450 meters, leads us to consider this area, little frequented by insects.

What can we say, 2 nights was just long enough. If you see Cimbolello available, book it straight away or it will be gone. Francesco and Luisa are the most hospitable and beautiful hosts. They are busy on their gorgeous farm but always there with a smile if we needed anything. The apartment was classic Tuscan farmhouse and perfect. Picking fresh figs from the trees and eating with lunch and dinner and homegrown Chianti is incredible. We loved the farm pets being around, 2 awesome dogs and the cats. I like to sit outside late at night under the stars and as they all did their job to protect the crops from hungry interlopers (big wild pigs), once they chased them off, they would all would come back and sit with me until the next patrol lol We're on a road trip and had just come from bustle of the Siena Palio. To rest here even for 2 night's really made our holiday sink in. There was a young family in the apartment next to us but it was really quiet and never felt our space or privacy was encroached. They were lovely. Thank you for hosting us. It was everything we hoped and more. We miss the company of your pets already :D

The farm was the highlight of our two month trip, we stayed for almost a week and loved every moment of it. It's only a short walk to the beautiful town of Citta Della Pieve, but far enough away to be relaxing and peaceful. Beautiful and clean cottage, waking up here was bliss. Luisa and Francesco were amazing hosts and thank you for the beautiful meal you cooked us. Would recommend to all.

Luisa and Franccesco werw great hosts. they have a farm with sheeps, chikens, dogs an cat, a graet forest viwe, a vineyard, and a vegetable garden. ypu can see and experience thier farm life which is amazing, it's quaiet and peaceful place. we stayed there for 2 nights but if youre looking for samplicty peaceful experience you could even stay longer and enjoy it. you should have a car for easy arrivel there. Citta della pieve which is 10 minutes from there is a nice village, there is a supermarket there. try not to come in the dark since the road from Citta to the farm can be tricky. We also learn how to make pasta with Luisa and than ate dinner (25E per person) which was great. we learn only the pasta itself making but the dinner included also tasting of thier homade cheese and terimissu, wine and limonchello. it was lovley to seat with them to eat and talk. we had a wonderful stay there.

Staying at Francesco and Luisa's house was a great experience, one of the best we have had on Airbnb. We enjoyed a wonderful wood oven pizza dinner and learned to make natural sourdough bread with them for a small cost. The small farm is beautiful and great to walk around in addition to tasting the many different products that come from it. The wine, cheese, oil etc is delicious. The apartment is clean and very well equipped in the kitchen.

A family-run organic farm and agritourism of 5 hectares located two kilometres from the medieval village of Città della Pieve, with a stone farmhouse restored using completely organic materials and means. You’ll find us in Umbria, 12 km from Chiusi (Chiusi-Chianciano autostrada exit and central train station), 15 km from Trasimeno lake, 40 km from Orvieto and Perugia, 70 km from Siena, 130 km from Rome and Florence.

We are located at an altitude of 480 metres. Facing nearby Tuscany, the farm is composed of a vineyard, olive grove, field for several sheep, household pets, bees, and a nearby forest facing which is our house and agritourism apartments (completely self-sufficient) which we offer year round. The farm produces wine, oil, honey, cheeses, and many other products.

L’azienda produce vino, olio, miele, formaggi e tanti altri prodotti. L’importanza e l’orgoglio di allevare animali, di potare, concimare, raccogliere, trasformare i nostri prodotti sia vegetali che di origine animale ci danno una varietà continua di lavori, interessi, stimoli, scambi d’informazione e di intuizioni.
