If you are looking for simple peace and beauty, you have found it. Welcome to Serenity Manor! This beautiful studio has a private entrance & was fully renovated in June 2018. New (almost) everything! (Floors, doors, walls, kitchen, etc.) Situated on our quaint 5 acre mini-farm only 30 minutes from the airport and 37 minutes to downtown Nashville, you will enjoy breath-taking sunsets and star-soaked skies in the quiet tranquility of the countryside. Traveling with your horses? Board also avail!
The space
Cruise slowly past the horse pastures as you make your way up a long, winding driveway. Nestled at the back of 5 acres, you'll find a beautiful classic red farmhouse. You'll park mere feet from your private entrance. (Please note that it is possible the barn and pastures may be rented to equine guests during your stay, with their driver sleeping in their trailer in the same large parking area. See below for details!)
On the covered patio is a small bistro table and chairs for sipping coffee in the mornings, reading, or just daydreaming and being mesmerized by the fireflies dancing and the sounds of the country. Check yourself in with your own unique keypad entrance code. Inside you will find a bright, clean, completely renovated studio suite (approximately 650 sq ft!). Wide open spaces, bright light, incredible views through big windows. Watch the horses graze from your back windows and the barn cats hunt from the front patio! This space is attached to the main house, but completely independent and private with a dedicated entrance. A door into the main house from the suite has been replaced with an exterior door which remains deadbolted at all times. See "guest access" below and the pictures for additional details!
Smith & Wesson, the resident barn cats, will try to convince you that they are indoor cats and you should let them in immediately. Do not believe them. They are outdoor only cats! They will probably try to sit in your lap if you are hanging out outside. They purr like mack trucks. Yes, they are very cute. But please don't let them in the house! (Also they might bring you one of their hunting treasures. Just thank them politely and let us know and we'll take care of it!) (Please note that we are unfortunately unable to accept any animals other than boarding horses. We have animals on the property that do not get along with strange dogs and we do not want any problems to occur! As much as we love our furry friends of all kinds, if you have a dog, cat, or other pet traveling with you, this is not the best fit for your family! Thank you so much for understanding!)
We provide all the essentials you will need for a comfortable stay:
SLEEP
Rest easy on our comfortable, Queen-size pillow top mattress. For friends traveling together, there is also a dated but very large and comfortable couch. (Please note, this studio is suitable for two guests only.)
EAT
Brand new kitchenette with farm sink! There is a wall oven (no stove) if you would like to cook... but you are on vacation, so there is also a mini-fridge, microwave, coffee maker, and toaster available for your more low-key needs. Or grab some takeout and enjoy it at the dinette or out on the patio. Better yet, try some of the amazing restaurants and eateries here in Lebanon! Also if you want to mix a little city in your country stay, head just 35 minutes into downtown Nashville and try just about anything you could ever imagine! You have seen us on the Food Network, right? We got it all!
BATHE
Everything in the bathroom is updated as well, EXCEPT for the shower (that's next!). Full disclosure - it's small. Really small. But it is CLEAN and it has RUNNING WATER, so it'll get the job done!! The rest of the bathroom is updated and beautiful. Brand new floors and paint, plus updated and modern lights, vanity, and toilet.
LIVE
Free Wi-Fi! TV with Roku box so you can log into your Netflix, Hulu, or Prime account. There is also a built in DVD player and a handful of DVDs to enjoy. We do not have cable. The temperature is controlled by the main house, and is generally kept between 72-75 in the summer and 65-68 in the winter. If you run hot or cold there are many extra blankets in the closet, as well as powerful ceiling fans and big windows that can be opened top or bottom.
Please note, this is a quiet farming community. This location is ideal for a mature single or couple, or friends looking for a tranquil getaway. This is not a party house or a party neighborhood. It's not a "walkable" part of town; you will need some type of transportation to get to restaurants or shopping. The majority of our neighbors are older and it is relatively silent in these parts. Once in a while during the day you may hear a tractor or some hunting/target shooting in the distance. This is not a place for loud music or reckless behavior. This is “out in the county” and very rural, which is part of it's charm. It is a simple setting and meant to be a retreat. It includes all things country, including bugs and critters and crawlers, but that also comes with deer sightings and bunnies scurrying past your windows! If you have allergies to animals or nature, this is not your ideal setting. Please note that for liability/insurance reasons, guests may not bring any visitors or any others to our home at any time, for any length of time. Only those individuals who are registered guests may enter the premises or be on the property. This is also included in the house rules, which guests agree to when booking. Thank you for understanding and cooperating!

-No animals *** (We regret that we cannot accept any animals on the property other than boarding horses. While our dogs love people, they can be aggressive towards other dogs and are off leash on the property quite often. Additionally, the guest suite shares a wall with our primary residence, and our dogs always know when there is another animal in there. It causes them stress and changes the dynamic and atmosphere in our home for the entire stay and for days afterwards. We respectfully ask that you take this into consideration and honor this very important house rule. Please remember that this is our home, where we live, and hopefully relax in peace!)

Park in the gravel driveway mere feet from your door. The covered patio is shared, as we will pass through it to get to the entrance to the main house via the separate screened-in porch. However, you have a private/dedicated entrance to your suite, and the bistro set is for exclusively for your use. The suite is attached to the main house, but it is totally private and independent. There is a door in your suite that leads into the main house. We had it replaced with an exterior door and it will remain dead-bolted at all times. *We reserve the right to enter if needed for emergency maintenance, but we will ALWAYS attempt to contact you first; and we expect this to be unlikely unless there is a power outage or fire or the like!* A sound machine has been provided for your comfort and privacy as well.
Human Guests - Please note that it is possible the barn and pastures may be rented to equine guests during your stay. There are times the horses' driver may also be staying on property in their horse trailer's living quarters. In this case, you might be parking next to the trailer in the large driveway. Additionally, we ask that you be respectful of their presence as they are likely traveling all day and just stopping to get as much as sleep as they can overnight! We will of course also be asking them to be respectful with their noise levels, as they will be parked close to your suite! If you have any questions or concerns about this possibility or would like to make any special requests, please let me know!
Due to liability issues, no unaccompanied access is permitted to the pastures or the barn unless you are renting them. WARNING: The pasture fences are hot-wired/electric and can be dangerous or painful if touched.
