Sedburgh is a small town in Cumbria at the foot of the Howgill Fells, on the River Rawthey, and a short drive from the Lake District.
The town is one of three "book towns" in the UK, alongside Hay-on-Wye, Wales and Wigtown, Scotland. There is an annual Festival of Books and Drama in September, and many thriving bookshops open all year round.
Private parking is available for one car.
Guests are expected to be polite and courteous, and to respect the other tenants in the courtyard.
Smoking is not allowed in the cottage, but smokers are free to smoke outside in the courtyard.
Pets are not allowed.
