As it's a penthouse, you have to consider the stairs - 5th floor - no elevator. Just want to emphasize this, as I rather have happy guests climbing happily the stairs to their temporary home - then disappointed guests expecting a penthouse on 2.nd floor ;-)
How to get here, and a bit about renting a bike:
Arriving by plane: A taxi is around 200 DKK from the airport. You can also take the train to København H (the central station) and walk from there (it's a 15 minute walk). A taxi from the train station is around 50 DKK.

Arriving by car: Parking in Copenhagen can be quite an ordeal, so my best advice is to leave your car at home and rent a bike while you're here (check (website hidden) t let me link to it...). The parking is by payment - the hourly fee depends on the time of day.
When you arrive you should buzz "poncina" and we will let you in :-)
The apartment is equipped with NUNA high chair, NUNA cot, ERGOBABY carrier, NUNA stroller and a NUNA car seat (0-12months) is available if needed.
The apartment is placed in Vesterbro, Copenhagen's former working-class and red light district is now the city's hippest quarter. Vesterbro's meatpacking district is yet another spot, which has undergone a massive transformation. Copenhagen's new and trendy places are opening here. In what was formerly a slaughter house, art, food and cocktails have been united in an experimental café, restaurant and bar named Karriere. If you are looking for a sensational food experience, visit the Michelin-starred restaurant Formel B. If you prefer to cook for yourself, Vesterbro is also packed with enticing food shops. The quarter even boasts its own 'food street', Værnedamsvej - a gourmet paradise with specialist cheese, wine, fish and chocolate shops, as well as cafes and grocers. Copenhagen is a quite and green city - however with all the facilities of a big town - theatres, clubbing, fashion- you name it CPH has it!

As Cafés nearby I reccommend Bang og Jensen, just turning right on Istedgade.
WELCOME! I hope you will have a comfortable and pleasant stay in my apartment. Here you have some important information about my place:
- You will be provided with a modem for your computer and an extra sim card to be able to use internet on your phone/I pad as well.
- You can find clean towels of different size and other sheets in the drawers of the bedroom.
- When you are cooking, please open the window.
- Garbage: in the yard, downstairs, under the roofing, you can find where to throw away glass, paper, batteries and undifferentiated trash. Remember to empty the basket before leaving.
- Please, do not smoke inside: you can do it downstairs in the yard or next to the window of the fire stairs (just outside the kitchen)
- Please, before leaving the apartment, could you put the sheets and the towels that you used in the laundry basket near to the bed?
- The apartment will be cleaned at the end of every stay. Additional cleaning can be provided on request. The apartment should be left clear of any rubbish and in a generally clean condition. Should the apartment be left in an especially dirty condition, an additional cleaning charge will be taken from the client's deposit.
She emailed promptly when we had concerns. However, we needed more instructions on how to use the washer and the shower. The light bulb over the kitchen sink is out and no replacements were available. One heater in the main room next to the bed doesn't work.
The location is convenient but getting around takes some preparation.
The apartment is in a great neighborhood and is a short walk to great restaurants, bars, the main shopping street and train station. It is small, but was fine for a 4 day visit and is in a quiet building. Plus the apartment was clean and tidy. A decent sized, comfortable bed makes for a good night's sleep. Ida has a short list of house rules, so no long list of "do's and don'ts" to adhere to during our holiday. For us the walk up the stairs was not a problem but if you have issues with climbing stairs or have to carry a child up the stairs, this might be an issue.
There is a good blind on the bedroom window but the sun does rise early in the morning during the spring and summer. If like me, you wake up as soon as light starts to come in the room, you might consider a sleeping mask.
Overall we really enjoyed out long weekend in Copenhagen and would recommend this apartment.
Great experience all around. Most importantly, Idas apartment is in the best part of town. There is a lot of good food, shopping and nightlife within a five minute walk (check out mother in meatpacking). Secondly, it's a great space; clean design, lots of natural light, big common room. I was there with two other people and there was never a point where we felt cramped in the apartment.
I could list off a bunch of other positive things (like how accomodating of a host ida was when we showed up two hours early) but I think these two things are the main reasons I'd recommend Idas apt to anyone who finds themselves in Copenhagen.
The apartment was very nice and very good for a short trip to Copenhagen:) we spent there two days with a 8 month baby and it was a good place to discover the City by walk. The apartment is well equipped and has even a high chair, baby cot and baby Buggy! The communication with Ida was very fast and easy! Thank you Ida!

About the Host, Ida
I love to travel - and always prefer to rent apartments instead of hotels, as I think it gives a better and closer "real" experience of the city - I hope that staying at my place will make you feel like a real "københavner" :-)
