The Space

The apt is situated in the center of CPH – near Tivoli, shopping and parks. Cozy penthouse with 2 large rooms looking at Copenhagens roofs. The apartment consists of 1 bedroom a large living room with a sleeping couch (for 2) kitchen a bathroom. Please notice that the bathroom is pretty small for international standards- however it's a comfortable bathroom for Copenhagen standards (see picture).

The apartment is equipped with NUNA high chair, NUNA cot, ERGOBABY carrier, NUNA stroller and a NUNA car seat (0-12months) is available if needed.

Washer Outdoor Grill TV/Cable Video/DVD Yard/Garden

As it's a penthouse, you have to consider the stairs - 5th floor - no elevator. Just want to emphasize this, as I rather have happy guests climbing happily the stairs to their temporary home - then disappointed guests expecting a penthouse on 2.nd floor ;-)

The apartment is placed in Vesterbro, Copenhagen's former working-class and red light district is now the city's hippest quarter. Vesterbro's meatpacking district is yet another spot, which has undergone a massive transformation. Copenhagen's new and trendy places are opening here. In what was formerly a slaughter house, art, food and cocktails have been united in an experimental café, restaurant and bar named Karriere. If you are looking for a sensational food experience, visit the Michelin-starred restaurant Formel B. If you prefer to cook for yourself, Vesterbro is also packed with enticing food shops. The quarter even boasts its own 'food street', Værnedamsvej - a gourmet paradise with specialist cheese, wine, fish and chocolate shops, as well as cafes and grocers. Copenhagen is a quite and green city - however with all the facilities (email hidden) - theatres, clubbing, fashion- you name it CPH has it!

As Cafés nearby I reccommend Bang og Jensen, just turning right on Istedgade.

How to get here, and a bit about renting a bike:

Arriving by plane: A taxi is around 200 DKK from the airport. You can also take the train to København H (the central station) and walk from there (it's a 15 minute walk). A taxi from the train station is around 50 DKK.

Arriving by train: Get off at København H (the central station) and walk from there (it's a 15 minute walk). A taxi from the train station is around 50 DKK.

Arriving by car: Parking in Copenhagen can be quite an ordeal, so my best advice is to leave your car at home and rent a bike while you're here (check (website hidden) t let me link to it...). The parking is by payment - the hourly fee depends on the time of day.

When you arrive you should buzz "poncina" and we will let you in :-)

  • We stayed in Ida's Appartment for 4 nights. The appartment is small but nice; with a big livingroom and a small bathroom. In the kitchen are everything basic like pans, moccamachine (no coffee machine), fridge, soap, dish liquid, ...
In the area are several supermarkets, cafés, bars etc. It takes 25 minutes to walk to the city and just around are busstations.
Thank you for the nice time. Advisable :-)

  • We liked staying with Ida very much. The apartment is really spacious and very very clean. I found the location brilliant, since I like these kind of urban areas with cool restaurants and bars around more than I prefer to live nearby all the sights and city center. Which in Copenhagen, by the way, is not really a problem, seeing that everything is close by anyway. Moreover, Ida was very flexible about check in and everything was really well organized.

  • We stayed 3nights here with a one year old baby. The area was lovely, lots of nice restaurants near by and close enough from city centre. (And a big playground one bloc away) Idas appartment was as promised, the babycrib and eating chair helped a lot and was one of the reasons why we originally chose this place. There are lots of stairs to the top, but we knew this so it was ok. And Ida always replied to our messages within an hour. So On the whole, I would recomend :) thanks Ida!

  • Great location and cozy apartment! It was really uncomplicated to get the keys and communicate with Ida.
Bring your flip flops, the bathroom is quite wet after taking a shower ;)

  • Ida was lovely! She was there to meet us and show us around the gorgeous apartment... And was so very very helpful on check out day when I'd locked something in the room. I cannot thank her enough!
The apartment was perfect for us. Bathroom is a bit small... and it is quite literally a shower room, but it was great for our Eurovision weekend away :-D

  • Great welcome, very accommodating from Ida! Lots of information about the city available.
Apartment charming and functional, fully consistent with the ad.
Great area for those who want to discover the charm of the real life of Copenhagen.

  • The four of us had a very pleasant stay at Ida's apartment which had everything we needed and we slept our nights well. She was there to greet us when we arrived and recommended us restaurants and places to visit, which were wonderful. The area is nice and peaceful with short distance to railway station.

  • Great location, bright rooms and clean, quiet and just fine ! (remember all 88 steps when you order the last (email hidden) or organizes heavy shopping tour...) One needs to be fairly agile in the shower - but it just keeps you fit.
All services in the neighborhood and a great bicycle rental across the street "Stella rossa"

  • We stayed for a month at Ida's place in Copenhagen and the stay was wonderful. Ida was there to meet us and show us around the apartment. The apartment was spacious and beautiful and came with everything as shown in the photos and description. Even when we had a slight problem with the Internet, Ida was very quick to fix the problem for us. Bathroom is small (as stated in the description), but definitely not uncomfortable and we found it more than adequate for our needs.

The apartment is centrally located and we walked to most of the attractions without problems. There are a number of supermarkets nearby where we could buy groceries for cooking in the kitchen. The neighbourhood felt safe and we had no worries even when returning at night.

Would not hesitate to stay here again the next time we visit Copenhagen.

About
I love to travel - and always prefer to rent apartments instead of hotels, as I think it gives a better and closer "real" experience of the city - I hope that (email hidden) will make you feel like a real "københavner" :-)
