About This Listing
CLIPPED COMMENTS--- If I was to design a dream vacation home, I would copy the Maile Tree House down to the smallest detail // Unforgettable stay // WOW! Absolutely spectacular // Couldn't have picked a more Magical place to stay..
Maile Treehouse--was custom built to bring the Rainforest in with it's abundance of large windows. There is a view from every room and in all directions, wood construction throughout and custom everything! The built in fireplace is two sided with a rotating flat screen above so that you can view both TV and fireplace from the living room, bedroom, and the lava rock surrounded jacuzzi tub. The tub is set in a bay window just steps away from the cozy Select Comfort Bed, with cozier still-- heated mattress pads. These are among the many touches we have added to make your stay as luxurious and delightful as possible. Tall ceilings, rich Brazilian cherry floors, built in bookcases and cabinetry, skylights..., built with our hearts as well as our hands--for the purpose of passing on a feeling and experience of Volcano that will be as warm and memorable for you, as it is to us.

Dream house!!! It is so beautiful!! Very close to volcano, convenient for us to visit volcano at night again.
Leslie's Maile Treehouse was unbelievably wonderful! The location is set back in the middle of the rainforest so you feel a hundred miles from another person and yet is a quick, easy drive up to Volcano National Park. Leslie left us a sweet welcome note and a simple, delicious breakfast to make us feel right at home. The home is cozy, quirky, full of character, and open to the forest on every side, a truly incredible unique place to stay. I would highly recommend this Treehouse to anyone looking for a break from the normal hotel scene on the big island!

About the Host, Leslie
My father was in the military so growing up I moved often, having gone to six different schools.
After I graduated high school I myself moved to Hawaii, and have lived here 35yrs, so this is home. I worked mostly in the 5star resorts in either the tennis or boating industries, and the last 15 years have been in my 'career' of massage therapy. I think my growing up in different places/countries, employment in the hospitality industry, having designed and physically built a few homes, and now working in the healthcare... has all brought me to this enjoyed venture of providing something a bit more than expected for the visitor who has gone to so much expense and trouble to appreciate this island. I'm blessed with a husband who joins me in this effort and helps to make it possible.
