People who visit Alberta's little all-season town of Canmore (pop. 12,000) have big expectations. Once a coal town, Canmore gained notoriety during the 1988 Winter Olympic Games, and it’s been booming ever since as a recreational hot spot.
Just 70 miles from Calgary, Canmore is nestled in Alberta's Bow Valley, surrounded by mountains and wildlife. It's the perfect locale for fishing, climbing, canoeing, all kinds of winter sports, and more. Banff National Park is approximately 7.5 miles from your resort, and world-famous Lake Louise is a little more than an hour's drive away.
If you want to take it easy, take a stroll through the quaint town. Its main street is home to galleries where painters, quilters, stained-glass artisans, and blacksmiths can be found at work. Or just relax in one of Canmore's many charming pubs or restaurants near your resort. With a little luck, you may even see a Hollywood film being shot here.
A Passport or Enhanced ID is needed for entry into Canada.

The Columbia Icefield, about 210 kilometers from Canmore along the scenic Icefields Parkway, is one of the largest blocks of ice and snow south of the Arctic Circle. It rests on the boundary between Banff and Jasper National Parks, a 325-square-kilometer family of eight major glaciers, all visible from Icefields Parkway.

The owner is very friendly, reasonable and willing to help.Nice condo, clean and cozy. We enjoyed our stay there and will recommend it to friends.
The listing was very accurate. The resort was very convenient and comfortable. The staff there was awesome. Tawnya was always responsive.
I had booked a 1 bedroom suite with kitchen. It was in a perfect location, and the suite was beautiful and very well maintained. I had booked the suite for three days however there was some confusion about the last day and they asked me to move to a different room. I think the owner had over booked and hence this problem. This problem was resolved once we spoke with the manager, she was kind enough to ensure we didn't have to move.
Overall a good experience.
Mary's place was perfect for our family of 5. Canmore is a great stop along a Rocky Mountain road trip. The place was clean, bright and well furnished. The check-in process and communication with Mary was excellent. Overall, great experience and would definitely stay here again.
