Was in MTL for the Nuit Blanche weekend and a few other event.
The place was great, fit three comfortably, well furnished and clean. Amazing bathrooms and the front bedroom was a dream. I will be contacting George when I return to repeat my rental (if its available).
George was incredibly kind and quick to communicate. The apartment was lovely and well-stocked, felt like a home away from home. And, can't be overstated: What a location! Perhaps the best spot in Montreal considering the proximity to great bars, restaurants, and shops. Amazing to stumble over to brunch at Lawrence or a late night stout at Dieu du Ciel.
One observation: May want to bring a Bluetooth speaker for some music or something. The apartment can feel very quiet, and the central restroom is not exactly... well. Just make sure you're staying with someone you feel comfortable with, and are prepared to run the tap and play a few tunes while it's occupied. ;)
Would (will) absolutely stay again. A no-brainer, just book it!
This place was perfect , we were only in town for a short two days of work and it had everything we needed . It is located in the middle of everything and you can walk everywhere . The hosts are awesome , quick responses and willing to help with anything . Would highly recommend this place and will definitely stay here again as I frequent Montreal a lot.
George's place was perfect for our stay in Montreal. The location is centralized and mile end is such a neat neighborhood. The apt is comfortable, tidy, and it was a breeze to work with George to get the key. Nat is the guy that runs the coffee shop across the street and he was also very accommodating and made sure our stay was perfect. The wireless internet works well and the heat works well for the winter. Highly recommend this apt.
Very clean, warm, welcoming place, plenty of towels, well-equipped kitchen The apartment is at street level but it is quiet and secure. The neighborhood is terrific. Easy parking and wonderful restaurants. There is a cool cafe across the street --good coffee and exceptional croissant, and the super-friendly, helpful proprietor will let you run a tab as long as you are staying and George and Naomi's.
The apartment is nice, cozy and clean and I was impressed by the size of the backyard which is a bonus and must be of great use in the summer. It was easy to find free street parking close by too, something priceless in Montreal. My only complaint would be the insolation as we can hear the upstairs neighbours pretty clearly. It didn't bother me but it is something to consider for people that are "noise sensitive". Otherwise, this place is all about the LOCATION! Fantastic neighbourhood with everything needed and more at a stepping distance...
The location of this place is absolutely amazing! If you want to spend a weekend checking out boutiques and record stores, eating famous bagels and drinking stellar beer, you really cannot go wrong staying here. The apartment was clean and cozy, with plenty of space to hang out and cook dinner (if you can resist all the tempting restaurants nearby.) The hosts were super responsive to questions and very helpful. Would very much love to stay here again next time we're in town.
This apartment in Montreal is terrific and just as advertized. A mix of modern convenience and old charm in a location that was perfect for our visit. We're looking forward to coming back in the Spring!
The apartment was clean, spacious and in a great location. It is priced appropriately for the space. The hosts were extremely accommodating with our requests and replied quickly, which made a trip with an infant much easier. My only complainant is that the toddler bedroom has glass doors and is right next to the living room. This meant we couldn't be in the living room at night when our infant was sleeping. Even if the layout can't be changed, i would at the very least replace the doors with a solid more sound proof door. As is, anyone without a child won't have a problem and should really enjoy this apartment.
This urban retreat is perfect on all fronts: location, comfort, cleanliness, style. Will definitely stay again.
