You'll fall in love with Casa Mariposa's fabulous Pacific Ocean and rainforest views! This luxurious comfortable home sits on 5.5 acres of rain forest, 700' above sea level. Construction has begun in the neighborhood about 300-400 feet from the house and out of sight. We’re not certain what impact it may have, so we’ve adjusted our pricing and included a 20% discount in our nightly rate. Close to restaurants, tours, shops and beaches. 4x4 is required.

Hike our private jungle trail to a river with small waterfalls and natural pools. You’ll be immersed in nature, yet conveniently located near dozens of excellent restaurants, pristine beaches, shops, and adventure tours.

Inside, the open-concept living area flows into a fully equipped kitchen with propane BBQ grill—perfect for preparing fresh meals or enjoying a romantic dinner prepared by a private chef at the handcrafted hardwood dining table. Soothing ocean breezes and ceiling fans provide a refreshing ambiance throughout the home, while both bedrooms are fully air-conditioned to ensure luxurious comfort and serene, restful nights with en suite bathrooms, thoughtfully placed in two private wings of the home.

High-speed Starlink Wi-Fi keeps you connected, and amenities like a washer/dryer, safe, and fully stocked pantry and chef's kitchen ensure your comfort.

The beautifully maintained home and tropical flower gardens are cared for by discreet, on-site caretakers Wilson and Ivania, who live near the entrance and ensure your security and privacy. Ivania can provide light housekeeping for a small fee with advance notice.

Wilson and Ivania live at the gated entrance and help maintain the property while ensuring your complete privacy throughout your stay.

🌿 Wilson hand-waters the landscaping during the dry season to keep the grounds looking beautiful.
🧹 Ivania is available for light housekeeping with advance notice. Her rate is $15/hour, payable directly to her in cash on the day of service.

Casa Mariposa is located in a quiet and private gated community of upscale home and large estate lots surrounded by rainforest jungle. Convenient to town and amenities, while being "away from it all". The Dominical, Uvita, Ojochal area is where the tropical rain forest mountains meet the Pacific Ocean. Our little corner of paradise is a nature and adventure lover's dream. We have incredible wildlife such as Howler and White Face Monkeys,, Scarlet Macaws, Toucans, sloths, anteaters, aguti, coati, paca, puma, jaguar, oscelots, humback whales and turtles. Besides pristine uncrowded beaches and waterfalls, there are tours for zip lining, kayaking, whale watching, scuba and snorkeling, horse back riding, wildlife sanctuaries, ATV rides and incredible sport fishing. Dominical is a surfers paradise with lots of restaurants and shops. Uvita has lots of restaurants, 2 banks, 2 grocery stores, retails stores and is home to the Marino Ballena National Park/beach and famous Whale Tail formation. Ojochal to the south is home to dozens of French, Italian, German gourmet restaurants and bakeries. You love it here and will be sad to leave!!
