I live in a lovely new 3br duplex on the East Side of Austin. I am within walking/biking distance of many east side bars, shops and eateries (happy to give reccomendations!) and a $5 cab ride from downtown (also easily bike-able). The metrorail and various bus lines are close by as well. Not only is this a great neighborhood to hang out in if you're visiting, but it also happens to be pretty close to the airport, about 15 minutes by car, or 30 minutes on the Airport Flyer, which stops just blocks away! You can help yourself to cofffee and snacks that I leave out in the morning, and beyond that you're welcome to use the kitchen as long as you clean up. You're welcome to do laundry also if you need to.
Your room: A comfy, full-size bed, a mirror, and a chest of drawers with room for your things. I'll have the bed made up for you, with extra blankets or pillows upon request. The room is upstairs at the opposite side of the house from mine and there is a private bathroom (towels included) in the hall.
We have a second room available that accomodates 2 more people. So, if you're traveling with more than 2 people, e-mail me and we'll have that second room ready for you.
My home is warm, clean, and perfectly located for anyone who wants to truly experience Austin. Hope to hear from you!
Kitchen use is welcome for light cooking but please clean up immediately after use as this area does not get cleaned by us daily and it gets used by multiple people throughout the day.
Please observe noise levels after midnight.

A casa é bastante agradável. O quarto é limpo e bem iluminado e tem uma cama confortável, embora eu senti falta de um mesa de estudo. É um excelente opção para ficar em Austin.
Definitely the best choice we made for staying in Austin during the ACL was Linda´s home. The house is very nice, clean and organized, is well located, close to downtown.
She is an amazing, very quiet and friendly person, definitely made us feel at home and well we loved her little chihuahua Charlie. We are going to miss you.
Thanks for having us in ur home. We definitely hope to see u again.
Linda is really nice, she helps a lot when I was here! The room is very clean and comfortable. You will enjoy the life here! The house is near the campus, 15 mins bus can send you there.
Linda is an awesome host. She is very kind and will make your stay the best, also she is a great cook. The location is great, very close to downtown. Her house also is very nice and extremely clean. The room is a good size with a very comfortable bed and reliable wi-fi. I will miss her, definitely recommend her.
We are three adults from Australia and stayed 5 nights at Linda's house during SXSW and had a great time. Austin is fantastic and Linda's house has everything you need, close to downtown and very comfortable and spacious. Linda made us feel relaxed and at home from the start with the kitchen open to us to make breakfast and get ready for the busy days ahead. Linda provided us with loads of information about Austin. Thankyou Linda and we hope to see you in Australia on one of your ventures: bring Lia with you. Smiles Sherryl, Pat and Carolyn.
Linda is the best host, very warm and hospitable and with interesting stories to tell. Her house also has a warm atmosphere with lots of nice touches like candles and art. It is immaculately clean. The room is a good size with a comfortable bed. Reliable wi-fi. Some very good cafés and food carts on nearby Rosewood Ave. Strongly recommended.

Lia - I was born and raised in Austin, Texas where I currently live still. I heart the hell out of music and go to shows as often as I can, I also love to dance and eat delicious food I can't afford. I speak Spanish, wish I spoke French and/or Portuguese. I love to travel, hence the reason for joining airbnb, nice to meet you!
If you're looking to stay at my place, I'm not currently living here anymore, I've been travelling around. But my mom still lives there and runs the house and would love for you to stay!
Linda - Hi! I've lived in Austin for over 30 years via the east coast and Puerto Rico. I have a background in theater and media communications. My home is nice and clean in a very central area. I have an adorable 7lb. Chihuahua, his name is Charlie and he also loves company. I work often and you will have plenty of privacy while you're here, but I'm more than happy to help you get accustomed to Austin in any way I can. Welcome / Bienvenidos!
