Completely renovated with 13 ft ceilings, a working fireplace, chef's kitchen, & spacious bedrooms, the Filomena makes the perfect Berkshires getaway for friends & families.

Set on an acre+, the house has a large yard & side porch, is a 2 minute walk from shops & restaurants in town, & minutes to Tanglewood.

The space
The home dates to 1850 and still has many of the original details - wood ceilings, slate fireplaces and beautiful carpentry, to name a few. These have been mixed with contemporary elements over a 2-year-long renovation to accommodate a more modern way of living.

Other things to note
The fireplace is currently out of commission.

There is a washer and dryer available for guest use in the sunroom.

Thanks to balloon construction the house typically runs cool, but on the rare occasion of humidity or warmer temperatures it helps to use the fans in the bedrooms, and there are portable or in-window AC units available in all of the 6 bedrooms, and one portable AC for use in common areas downstairs.

Commercial photo shoots or filming require a separate booking agreement. Guests who violate this rule will be asked to leave immediately without a refund of their overnight fees.

No parties or gatherings beyond the folks on the reservation.

Hi! We're Nick and Michael. For the last few years, we've been renovating and restoring the Filomena, an Italianate home in the Berkshires, built in 1850. Both of us had always dreamed of renovating a house (thanks in part to our shared curiosity with old houses and design -- and a little HGTV). The original plan was to find a small house with a lot of land, but after touring the 4,500 square foot house on New Year’s Day 2016, the original details, 13 foot ceilings, history as a former Catholic Church rectory and walking distance to the sweet town of West Stockbridge, MA increased our appetite to take on the oversized project. We've put our heart and soul into this house, and hope you enjoy it as much as we do!
